Did you really do it on your wedding night?

I'm just so curious.. Is that weird 😂
I don't think I can look sexy under 2 layers of spanx, drinking since 12pm and a day of full on make up and hair lol

Yes but it was very much a quickie between the meal and the reception. Both kilt and dress remained on throughout.

This almost sounds sweet ... reminds me of that scene from "four weddings and a funeral" 🤣

otherwayup · 03/04/2023 11:53

Yep, at 5am in the morning after waking up after pretty much passing out drunk at 1am!

I was determined to, as I was married before and we didn't do it on our wedding night and our marriage ended up being sexless.

IsolatedWilderness · 03/04/2023 11:54

Not for five days after.

User839516 · 03/04/2023 11:55

We did, about 2am, it was lovely and I had a little cry afterwards because everything had been so perfect 😳😂

fortifiedwithtea · 03/04/2023 11:55

No too tired and we were starving. Despite a full sit down meal in the afternoon. We also had an evening buffet but too busy attending to our guests we didn’t eat anything. Luckily a work colleague (married previous year) warned us that might happen and told us to pack a holdall with snacks.

I only remember munching through a packet of bourbons on our wedding night.

Findyourneutralspace · 03/04/2023 10:35

Yes, it was lovely. And the next day I woke up to shoes kicked off across the bedroom, dress flung over the back of a chair, massive glass of water by the bed, and a slightly hungover husband beside me. It was like I’d had a really good night out, but weddingy ❤️

Sounds exactly like my wedding night! Was fun

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 03/04/2023 11:58

First thing the following morning before we left for our honeymoon. The actual wedding night, we were both exhausted, had aching feet and, ironically, had hardly spoken to each other all day because of so much to do and so many people wanting a piece of us...

specialklady · 03/04/2023 12:00

We did. It felt like the perfect thing to do after a crazy day! I can totally understand why people wouldn't feel up for it though!

Fupoffyagrasshole · 03/04/2023 12:06

No we were partying until 7am and then conked out!!

oviraptor21 · 03/04/2023 12:09

Yes but then none of your pre-situation either applied to or would bother me.

MaryJean87 · 03/04/2023 12:11

Yes, but it was a quickie as we were both tired.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 03/04/2023 12:21

No. I wasn't that drunk but I was knackered and fell asleep while he was undoing my dress 😂. There were loads of tiny buttons down it and when I woke up I was grateful he'd persevered in taking it off. He'd actually gone outside of the hotel whilst I was asleep for a cigarette and helped a young lady who'd been left stranded with no taxi and a dead phone and there was a text from her thanking him for helping her and being nice not an axe murderer or anything. And we did it the next morning

BridieConvert · 03/04/2023 12:29

I honestly can't remember! So if we did it would've been very brief 😂

CamoFlamingo · 03/04/2023 12:31

Nope. We had a quiet lockdown wedding with only witnesses, then went home and watched Netflix with pizza and gin then fell asleep.

Purplepeopleeaterz · 03/04/2023 12:33

No, I’d started my period that very morning so was checking the back of my lovely ivory dress frequently throughout the day just in case.

Keeween · 03/04/2023 12:35

Yes. It wasn’t very romantic, DH spent ages taking all the pins out of my hair, he got in quite a pickle undoing the fiddly buttons on my dress and then when we did get down to it, the bed was SO creaky. We just laughed our heads off which, let’s face it, always makes for a good time.

Favouritefruits · 03/04/2023 12:37

No, I was pregnant and just wanted a shower!

BeeBB · 03/04/2023 12:39

Of course we did. We stayed in a posh country hotel and it was lovely.

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 03/04/2023 12:41

Yes. I still had my tiara on with the gems dangling 😉

MadEyeMoodysEye · 03/04/2023 12:42

Nope. I had a horrific case of tonsilitis. He took me to A&E first thing the next morning as my throat was almost completely closed. So romantic!

OhSnakesandBastards · 03/04/2023 12:44

No. We agreed beforehand to enjoy the day and we would do it in the morning. It was much better all around - took about 20 minutes to get out of my dress and another 15 to take the pins out of my hair. By the time we went to bed we'd been awake for about 20 hours so were completely shattered and needed sleep.

Enjoyed it in the morning though

scrivette · 03/04/2023 12:46

No, we were both too tired but we did the next morning instead.

19lottie82 · 03/04/2023 12:47

Had a half hearted effort because we thought that we should.

mrsbitaly · 03/04/2023 12:49

No couldn't get the dress off and it was bloody huge so we gave up 🤣

MrsRinaDecker · 03/04/2023 12:49

Two weddings.. I remember feeling like I should, but not sure if I did.. I have a vague recollection of doing it the next morning second time around.
I love the idea of the romance of waiting and having a perfect first time on your wedding night though.
