@Armchairanarchist look!!! I only got married a few years ago (second wedding) and I love my engagement ring and wedding band. Both bought second hand.

These are mine, wedding, eternity and engagement.
Got married in 2000. Pretty much immediately afterwards I noticed that everyone started have white gold/platinum. I definitely suit yellow gold more & it seems to be beginning a revival.

My wedding ring has 6 very small diamonds in to represent each year we were together before getting married, And it is shaped to fit around my pear shaped solitaire engagement ring.
The guy who designed/made the ring didn't want me to have an even number of stones as he didn't think it would look right. I told him I couldn't care what anyone thinks as to whether it would look right.
I wear my wedding ring closest to my wrist then the engagement ring is after that.

I do take off my engagement ring occasionally to have the setting checked or if I'm doing rough jobs outside, but I've only ever taken off my wedding ring twice in almost 8 years and that was because of my hand swelling up in the final week of my two pregnancies

Wedding ring, engagement ring plus a plain band I bought as a ‘spare’ wedding ring when I had a very mucky job. Didn’t mean for them to be worn together but now I love the way they look. White gold and need a redip!

I love my rings, and I love the sparkle. Bought them as a set as my existing rings had seen better days/we had more money. They need resized so I'm wearing them with ring keepers just now.

I'm not a ring person and dislike fingers cluttered up with several rings.

I wanted filigree because I sometimes have eczema and thought it might be better than a solid band. I like that it has a diamond as I don't have an engagement ring (we never really got engaged, just booked the church as soon as we'd bought a house because we wanted to start a family and I didn't want to do that unmarried). It also has two amethysts, which is the birthstone for each of us so it feels quite symbolic.

DH has promised me two eternity style bands like this: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/178756184/channel-set-baguette-diamond-band, but with peridots rather than diamonds, to wear either side of it as that is the birthstone for each of our two sons but I keep putting him off getting them as I want to prioritise something in the house.

Forgive my knarley hands, my fingers have also got a bit fat since I got married lol, can't be bothered to go up and get my engagement ring but this is my wedding ring, a half eternity I suppose, in platinum . I'm glad I got this as I don't think we'll be able to afford an eternity ring any time soon I got this half price as it had been made especially for a bride who failed to pick it up, good thing I'm not superstitious

Engagement ring we designed, sapphires & diamonds, look v dark in this light but more blue in better light. Wedding band plain as it goes better with it. White gold. Don't imagine I'll have an eternity ring, I'm happy with just the 2. They are thin but I have slim fingers so suits me.

Mines silver with our initials and date of wedding inside the ring. My engagement ring is too small at the moment, plus it’s my mums from her first wedding to my dad and it’s quite old fashioned, so I don’t wear it very often. But it’s got my mum and dads initials, and the date of their engagement, then me and my husbands. If I do wear them at the same time, I either wear it on my other hand, or on a chain. Got silver cos I figured I’d be wearing it all the time and I didn’t want it to be too expensive in case I lost it or it got damaged. We figured it was more about what they represented rather than the actual ring, iyswim xx
