Why are you sceptical about palladium? It’s slightly stronger than platinum, looks the same and is half the price!

My husbands ring is cobalt. He works in a industrial field so is very hands on and cobalt is heavy duty less likely to be damaged.

Ended up having mine made to fit my engagement ring as it has an unusual shank and I didn't like an odd shaped gap between the two. Excuse puffy pregnancy fingers!

My husband had white gold but looks more like silver. The metal is really soft and scratches easily

DH has a brushed oxidised titanium ring with Mexican rose wood inlaid inside because we got married in Mexico and because he doesn't like shiny things. I have small hands but wanted a vintage style engagement ring and then a wedding band that fitted with it. Neither was hugely expensive, but they are more my style

Mine is a plain band. I did originally choose one with stones in it but returned it last minute and bought a plain one. Mostly because there are few situations I’d have to take a plain one off but may have to remove one with stones in it. I have a couple of other things dh has bought me over time and a couple I’ve treated myself to that I wear along side it that have stones.

Mine was specially made and the wedding band to fit the shape. In a drunken conversation, I told DH I liked blue and green stones. So I have a sapphire and an emerald. They did several designs and he chose one. I love the fact that it is unique. Made by a company in Edinburgh / Perth called "The Ringmaker" but we know the designer personally.

I got a plain wedding ring but decided after we were married I would like an eternity ring for a bit more sparkle. Here's my set:

@IsTheRainEverComingBack I don't know where my engagement ring was from, DH chose it, my wedding band was made by a company called alba rose, they have a shop in Rayleigh in Essex and one at Bluewater in Kent but also do a distance service, you literally design it yourself they then take an imprint of your engagement ring and then send you a computer image of what they'll look like together, you can change or tweak the design add many times as you want before you confirm and there's no pressure to buy of you change your mind, I think there was a small design fee as I did mine in store. Mine was around £500 which given the sapphires and diamonds, and it's 18k white gold, I thought that was really good (you get to pick the colour, clarity, cut etc), DHs was actually from Etsy! It shipped from the US and was made to order so took a few weeks they did all different widthsv and other less traditional designs , his was about £250 including shipping.

These are my 3 but they don't fit me at the moment. The solitaire is my engagement ring , the big ring is my wedding ring and the small band is my eternity ring that I had made specially so I can have a ring to wear while I'm doing my nursing placements.
I can wear them all together or mix and match. Then wedding ring has been altered a lot as when we bought it it had pearls on that eventually came loose. Then 3 stones on it now are the birth stones of the kids

I just wear an eternity ring; no engagement ring. My husband doesn't wear anything at all.

Engagement ring is 7 small diamonds, wedding band was specially made to fit engagement ring and is 4 small diamonds with an emerald in the middle. Both white gold, fairly inexpensive (less than £1,000 in total) but my husband chose both himself and I love them

@Fluffyears Wow! I've never seen anyone with one like it. Clearly we both have men with great taste

Second picture - eternity ring, (right hand).
My eternity ring won't fit on top of the others, plus it's platinum, while the others are white gold. The jeweller said not to wear them together as the platinum would damage the gold.
(I am aware that I'm probably committing some kind of faux pas by wearing it on the right hand, but meh ).

Engagement ring is solitaire diamond in gold band. Wedding ring is plain gold band. The ring I wear on my middle finger is 5 diamonds in a gold band. It's a family ring.
