Hopefully this picture will load. My engagement ring is a sapphire and my wedding ring is a plain band. Both platinum.

I’ve got tiny, skinny hands, so went for simple and small
I love them both - my engagement ring has cute little heart detailing below the stone (not sure why my wedding band looks yellow gold in the photo though )

This was my 2nd marriage wedding ring.

Well after 45 years married, I have , -ditched a horrible 70's band, lost its replacement, wore none for ten years and am now wearing my late Mum's. Husband ditched his after year one. Hey ho still married

DH’s ring is palladium after the jeweller convinced him it would last as well as platinum. Mine are platinum. He has a desk job and still, 6 years on his ring is mishapen, dull and scratched! Luckily neither of us care!

I would always recommend a bride has a ring that can be easily altered, time and arthritis play havoc with hands, not to mention a little weight gain over the years

The engagement ring was classed as a stacking ring - it was less expensive than a 'proper' engagement ring and I liked the rub over setting. However, I was always clear that there should be more rings to complete the stack...essentially because I love diamonds and never get tired of watching them twinkle

MrsBobDylan i thought your three diamonds was like one big ring on diffferent bands. It works! I knew someone who had similar and it was one ring which is why i thought yours was too.

Until I read this thread I had no idea people wore two rings I thought you just swapped them out at the wedding!!

I know white gold is much softer. I suggested that as you mentioned a sentimental yellow gold ring, just thought it was a way of incorporating the yellow gold ring x

@MrsBobDylan- love how you've made that arrangement work! I've got another two solitaire rings (I have a penchant for diamonds) in addition to my engagement ring, I'm going to see if I can make them rock (!) as you've done!

These are my engagement and wedding rings - the engagement ring is 9 carat gold aquamarine with diamonds and the wedding ring is 18 carat gold wishbone half eternity ring also weigh diamonds. They were both secondhand and fit together like they were made for each other. I actually had them welded together shortly before my wedding so that they wouldn't twist and rub each other - I wear the wedding ring on the outside because it's pointy and annoys me the other way around lol. I love them, I would love an eternity ring on the other side of them at some point too.
