What time to go for fany a diamond band doubt i will get an eternity ring. Stuck. L9ve these threads show me yours?

I've just seen that the OP was specifically about eternity rings, and not wedding rings, as I'd misunderstood it to be. Couldn't really read the post properly with all the random numbers and baby brain 😕 sorry!

@sakuramiyagi we definitely do. I love the setting on it, with the ‘border’ round the stone.

@Fluffyears I really like the rub over setting too. How long have you had your ring? Mine was second hand from a small independent jewellers.

Wedding band engagement ring and eternity ring

I had my wedding band made to fit my engagement ring. It's really simple but looks a bit strange if I wear it on its own due to the shape..

It’s true that traditional wedding rings are much easier and cheaper to resize.

Do you wear an engagement ring? Yiur wedding band needs to compliment and physically sit well with that if you do.

Goodness, my rings are filthy! I wear my wedding ring first as I was told that was tradition and they sit better that way anyway. My DH and I have matching wedding rings. Spotted them in Tiffany's and had similar made - except it's out wedding date engraved in them not the Tiffany logo
I chose Platinum rather than white gold as I knew I'd need to get them dipped to stop them yellowing but it's also been a pain in the ass as I hadn't known that Platinum was softer so they scuff really easily and need polished to make them shine properly

My fingers look a bit wierd in these so sorry.
First pic is the engagement and wedding rings. The wedding ring is one white gold band nearest the engagement ring then a yellow gold band nearest the wrist.
The two bands of the engagement ring merge into one, as it goes round the finger.
DH's ring is three bands the two outside yellow gold and the inside band white gold.
Sounds complicated but if we look at the palms of our hands my two rings look the same as his one ring.
The wedding rings were specially made.

The eternity ring uses the same stones and is again yellow gold to match.

Dh and I married in 96. We were skint, had just bought a house and on a serious budget. My ring came from a jewellers second hand pile to save money.
It occurred to me many years later the pattern on it looked like cannabis leaves 😂 Still, I wouldn't change it despite it not being the most fashionable thing in the world.

I also wear my Nan and Mums plain gold bands. None of those rings are ever taken off.

These are mine. All 3 are my family heirlooms. Wedding ring was my great nans, eternity ring was my nans, engagement ring was my mums. I love them

@sakuramiyagi mine is ten years old, the jeweller stopped doing the design sonit was the last one they had, probably why not many people have them.

Interesting to see the different trends over time. I've been married 23 years, and diamond wedding bands weren't really an option then, unfortunately. Would have loved one.

Fat finger warning, it's the heat. I've never taken my wedding ring off, so wedding ring, eternity ring, engagement ring - the latter two look weird with the eternity ring on top.

Thin wedding band, aquamarine engagement ring, half eternity ring. Love yellow gold.

Pregnancy plus the suffocating heat means my wedding band no longer fits me but I wear my engagement ring first (since it's the first ring DH gave me) and then my wedding bad. I've never understood why people wear it the other way around.

Sorry just read your original post and realised you were asking about wedding bands (baby brain)- mine's a simple thick 18kt yellow gold one. I like wearing multi-tone jewellery so wanted it like that.

Rose gold and morganite. I got them all made by a local jeweller.

These are mine. My wedding band is very plain with just a slight pattern. Both platinum.

Look at Russian wedding bands - 3 entwined colours of gold. They are very pretty.
