This came as a bit of a surprise this morning! I've been outside and it's definitely a bit drizzly but no wind to speak of. I think someone at BBCW has pressed the wrong button 😆

They put it out to contact several years ago and the met office didn’t win the contract. I think somewhere in France

@AChickenPooAndABiscuit Grinds my gears when it tells me there's a 70% likelihood of rain when it stays dry until 4pm, and then I go out on my bike in the dry and get absolutely soaked with stair rods (eg last Saturday).

I’m not sure wind speeds are even that high on Jupiter. Certainly not compatible with life on this planet. Something has obviously fucked up somewhere.

Flying to Scotland today - should I be worried??

This is excellent news. I've a really stressful day ahead to get something sorted in work for tomorrow, but if we'll all be dead I'll just not bother.

I thought my 15,000 mph winds were bad.

DS2 (14 and ASD) was really anxious about hurricanes last night. I calmed him down by showing him the bbc weather. I'm bloody glad I didn't do that this morning 😅

I've stayed overnight in London and was a tad alarmed when I checked the weather forecast this morning! What a bugger I'm not home because my washing would dry like a dream ( in the next town over!)

500mph winds all day here in West Sussex apparently but no weather warning. How odd !

My Mum and Dad are in Paphos at the moment and they're forecast 7142mph winds. I've hurriedly e-mailed my Dad and told him things might get a bit gusty.
