Keeping a small eye on Sunday/Mondays weather

It probably won't come off but I'm keeping a bit of an eye on Sunday and Monday.

Models show remnants of hurricane Bertha coming close to our shores and develop them in different ways. It's hard (for me) to de tangle which bit are Bertha but the results are, either nothing to worry about at at all (most likely scenario) or some potentially wild and wooly weather as two of the models develop some pretty tight gradient lows for this time of year.

GFS takes it across northern Scotland bringing windy weather to the north, ECMWF brings it across southern and central England bringing windy weather to the south. UKMO just produces a slack low which could bring in plenty of rain.

Will update with developments.

Is anyone from Bilton (near Hull)? TORRO have received reports of a potential tornado.

We had no more rain and the wind is just very breezy here. I managed a dog walk at 5 in the sun and was pleasantly fresh and dry.
The sky keeps looking ominous but then clears.
Looking suspect atm

OYBBK I have seen lots of pictures of the potential tornado on my FB newsfeed.

Advice - are there any pictures of a funnel, or is it all damage photos? Are there any coming from outside of Bilton?

It's just damage photos and videos I have seen.

SE Wales. The wind is still very gusty, the sky has just turned black and we're having heavy, squally showers.

Does this count as a mini tornado OYBBK?

Ah some proper Scottish summer weather although it almost feels autumnal.....13C and raining. Wind just starting to pick up too. Am feeling a wee bit sorry for people who were at the Edinburgh Tattoo at the castle tonight.( Although I have memories of my granny taking me as a child and wearing a bin bag to try and stay dry.)

A fair chunk of Scotand has yellow warnings for wind and rain overnight and tomorrow with Amber for rain for Moray.

Shetland had an average August's worth of rain yesterday, with Fair Isle having 128mm.....

I stood at the back door planning to let her out on the lead and stand inside to stay dry myself

if it had touched the ground it would have been a tornado. We class them as weak tornadoes through to strong tornadoes. The term mini-tornado grates with severe storm aficionados as it is a tornado or it isnt.
