And I have no idea why I'm still getting involved as we had no snow

It's just 'meh' here. Grey and presumably cold.

Snowing and -6 here in south kent. Bum.

Pascha - by mid afternoon you should be up to around 3C or so.

low of -10.2C at 2:30am. Up to -1.4c now. That is a huge rise in overnight temps!!

Essex may see a little this morning, but I'm surprised if snow is being forecast for later on today. Fog is going to be more of an issue tonight.

This week looks a fair bit warmer - esp Tuesday onwards.

Oh good. I just want the snow/ice/mush to melt away for a bit now. Rural living isn't all its cracked up to be when the road you live on doesn't see grit from one end of the year to the next. Even without the snow this morning (which seems to be stopping now) its crappy still from last week.

Sorry, will stop moaning now.

It's loads warmer in York today. I woke at three freezing and expected to see snow and ice, but it's now dripping and melting and positively balmy out! Well, above freezing, anyway!

It's grey & cold here too. Northern Hampshire or CS as OYBBK would say :)!

Not sure if we are due snow or not? Don't mind either way. Would prefer it not to be too icy at 5am tomorrow morning when I have to drive to work though.

No snow chipping, maybe an odd flurry or two but that'll be it. No ice tomorrow am either :) (perhaps i'll be able to do some washing, that'd be nice!)

DD1 has just announced that he forecast for here is for snow at midday

OYBBK DS is on a football course tomorrow and Tuesday (Worcestershire). It looks like he will need thermals and waterproofs. Do you agree?

I've put some washing on today - I figured it would keep the water moving through the pipes and the heater is on as I'm home, so might as well. Hope your machine is willing today/tomorrow :)

Nice to know it wont be icy in the morning for the trip into work - far too many idiots on the road, even at that hour (5am). It was diabolical the other morning, I was doing 50mph and panel vans and cars still thought they'd overtake on dark country roads, not knowing if the snow had been cleared ahead or not - and that's without mentioning the blind hills & winding roads!

It's 5 whole degrees here today (E Lancs) - all the remaining snow has melted & the heating's been off all day

sounds sensible sparkling. although it will be mild in comparison to late. There is going to be quite a mean wind and I dont know what your ground is like but here it has turned decidedly squelchy.

5C here too with the snow rapidly melting on the grass.

7 whole degrees OYBBK. Plus not minus!

Its actually sunny here in York for the first time since it snowed last weekend :) Fingers crossed it will be near enough gone by I need to drive again on Tuesday. Also fingers crossed we wont get anymore now till next winter, though I think its meant to get cold again so we'll see.

No more snow after all and it's melting off

i am too hot tonight! had the fire going all evening but the house has finally got warm. 2.4c outside. tropical!

We went tobogganing as part of ds's 4th birthday celebrations! It was on a dry ski slope which so happen to still have the snow from last weekend and this morning! It was brilliant!

We had a low of 2c, which has happily meant that we now have water flowing through the washing machine (and fortunately not around the washing machine)
