Wintry weather next week?

Metmonkey are forecasting this for next week. We'll see ~ probably a bit early to say for certain whether this will happen or whether it'll just be cold and frosty.

Emailing chocolate. Mmmm! Yum. No, thanks to this thread I stocked up last Saturday. Have run out f eggs and bread. But not chocolate .

DH didn't manage to get in to work today. He and his dad are trying to dig out our cars as I type this. DS and I are sat in front of the log-burner playing and reading.

I was going to go buy new carpets for the sitting-room tomorrow though, which seems unlikey now.

Probably best to get new carpets after all this is through perhaps! (envisions great muddy slush on new carpets!)

Looks like the decision has been made for me though. . I don't really like to take DS out in the car when there is a threat of active snow as the layering prevents us from getting home. Don't want to be stuck in a car with an 11montg old.

Nothing in Leicestershire,the snow seems to be skirting us.I blame dh as he bought 2 new sledges yesterday and must have put the kybosh n our chances of getting any use out of them.It is really cold though,was -1 at 4.30pm.I have moved the guinea pigs out of the car port and into the dds room.Poor little things looked so miserable before and look much happier already.

I want snow.

Wiltshire has gone Orange on the Met Office map for today and tomorrow Mind you i think there was a tiny bit of snow in south Wilts but it missed us here in Swindon. Not a drop yet but BBC website is saying tomorrow and Sunday light snow so maybe just maybe.
