Just that really.

If you are spiritual, do you get anything coming through from this photo?
Any thoughts, feelings or vibes?

Sorry guys well out order putting a gun emoji in a Safe space for women to vent no harm intended and I’ll look at myself to readdress that behaviour. Thanks

Looks like a photo from the late 40's early 50's perhaps and if I had to hazard a guess I'd say he was a gay man at a time when it was criminalised. I've no idea why you would ask or what you might expect - I'm not spiritual in any way, quite the opposite in fact. I worked at the laboratory that Alan Turing worked at (many decades after he had) - that's the only resonance that I can point to to explain why I have said what I have - not that he looks anything like AT.

Yes he looks sad and I feel he is gay too.

i found an old photo in my family stuff. A picture of a soldier in Ww1 uniform. I fell in love with the photo. I think he married my great aunt after she emigrated to NZ. Such a calm gentle man. There was also another hoto of him in his 80s!

Jacquel666 · 16/08/2023 05:04

He's possibly of Middle-Eastern or Indian-Asian heritage. I think he had minor surgery as a child.

FindingMeno · 16/08/2023 05:07

Oh that was very unpleasant.
I really didn't like, and can't place, the feeling I got from it.
Not good.

HuwJanus · 16/08/2023 05:08

It’s a bit haunting - had he had a difficult childhood? Almost get a vibe there was some sort of abuse. I also get the impression he died young but did have children before then. A slightly absent partner.

MuthaHubbard · 16/08/2023 05:31

Nothing 'woo' from me, just a photo of a chap who looks quite serious

seafronty · 16/08/2023 06:30

I sense a young Alan Cumming getting a headship for a play in Chichester c1992

MaryBeery · 16/08/2023 06:33

It puts me in mind of a very young Robert Knepper (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0460694/ ) who often ends up playing baddies in films and on TV, which might explain the creepy vibe some people are getting. Can't be him though, as he's much too young for the era that photo looks like it comes from. Generally the word I'd go with is melancholy.

Robert Knepper | Actor, Producer, Additional Crew

Known for: Prison Break, Transporter 3, Hitman

Haven't read any other replies. I get immense sadness and possible some fear.

MargaretThursday · 16/08/2023 06:42

It looks like the sort of photo that was taken of men just before they went off to fight in WWII.

A potentially last photo, so people had something to remember them by if they died. I've for two or three of relatives that are similar.

Tiqtaq · 16/08/2023 06:48

Bad vibes...a manipulator

Timeisallwehave · 16/08/2023 06:51

I’d guess it’s a face generated by AI

DustyLee123 · 16/08/2023 06:52

I looked at this when it was first posted, with no comments, and I thought sad and closet gay.

erikbloodaxe · 16/08/2023 07:00

Good eyebrows

seafronty · 16/08/2023 07:12

I love the specificity of some of these comments. A minor operation as a child. Hilarious.

TiredDonut · 16/08/2023 07:14

Oh wow, thank you all so much for your replies!

It is indeed the poet Raoul Pugh. I am researching him along with a friend after we bought a collection of his letters and we have felt his presence strongly. A couple of spiritual friends have also had feelings when we've spoken about him and I was just wondering if anyone would pick up on anything.

The letters do indicate that he was indeed gay, and he certainly mixed in those circles.

He died aged 23 in 1944 and we have been told there he feels that something was left unresolved and he didn't get to do something important.

My first thoughts were sadness and loss or tragedy before I read the updates. How interesting, I love a bit of research like this!

LAMPS1 · 16/08/2023 07:21

His gentle eyes are pleading for understanding maybe….but he feels a bit hopeless. I feel sad for him.

Gettingbysomehow · 16/08/2023 07:27

That the dead don't like people grieving too long or clinging onto them. You have to let go. Death is complete freedom from suffering and even after death they have spiritual work to do. To be tied to earth by someone's curiosity or unresolved grief is painful for them. Both parties need to let go and move on with love.

neilyoungismyhero · 16/08/2023 07:36

First thought was Rupert Brooke

MissHoollie · 16/08/2023 08:07

I think because of similar images my brain thinks world war 2 ..perhaps his life ended in a. Concentration camp.

ssd · 16/08/2023 08:18

Is he a woman?

Hibernatalie · 16/08/2023 08:22

I get a feeling of benevolence - he was a good man

Messyhair321 · 16/08/2023 08:33

I feel a lot of losses from this photo, there's a haunted look that spells trauma to me.

Newnamehiwhodis · 16/08/2023 08:34

Looks like Frida Kahlo to me
