Any thoughts, feelings or vibes?

Looks like a photo from the late 40's early 50's perhaps and if I had to hazard a guess I'd say he was a gay man at a time when it was criminalised. I've no idea why you would ask or what you might expect - I'm not spiritual in any way, quite the opposite in fact. I worked at the laboratory that Alan Turing worked at (many decades after he had) - that's the only resonance that I can point to to explain why I have said what I have - not that he looks anything like AT.

It's an older photo. The shadowing gives it a more 3D effect than usual for that time. This might make it have a particular vibe but otherwise, it's just a photo. No feelings.

He looks sad and lost. I’m not spiritual, it’s just the feeling I get looking at his face. His expression doesn’t look at all content or happy.

Emptiness was my first thought, it feels as if he has lost hope. I'm getting the names Henry and Paul. I can smell cigarettes. Feel like when the photo was over he had papers in his hand, he's polite and quiet?

My first thought/feeling was 'murderer' but that could be down to the number of true crime things I watch.

I see sadness in him too. Like something bad has happened to him in his past.

I find this image a bit creepy in the scary sense. I don’t want to look at it again but the overall feeling I get was that there is some element of horror or tragedy attached to the photo - not saying the subject is the perpetrator.

Agree with the smoking, he has sisters, he is artistic, and comes from a landed or farming background. His mother took this photo. I realise I am sounding like those mediums now where there is always a 50% chance they have got it right....and I'm afraid my spiritual guidance is straight out of the pub rather than some higher power (sorry). But this a great thread, and I am loving it - I will watch to the conclusion to see who he is. If he is a relative, he is a lovely looking young man, and it is a fantastic photo xx

You may say he's a murderer as I'm rubbish at this, but I'm getting that he was a gentle timid soul.
