I’ve just seen a grammar school teacher on another forum saying that their Year 11s were told the content of their assessment papers and allowed to have a copy of the text AND a set of crib notes with them. Please tell me that’s not what everyone did or I may cry.

Basically, standard format and condition exams with exam papers made up by the teaching staff.

I've heard well dodgy stuff from other local schools though

I'm fairly sure I made a broom closet 3 but will have a search. Attending a virtual meeting currently.

There would be a riot at my school if there weren't fans in some of the rooms. Is aircon allowed?

We don't possess fans or aircon so I have no idea.

Doesn’t look like it Honey. I’ll create if you’re still in yr meeting (hope it’s a useful one!). We’ve had a closet and a cupboard.

Air con isn’t alllwed in our library but that may apparently be because we have different bubbles in there after school. Other areas have allegedly been using air on so I emailed our Head of Site asking about it last week. No answer yet!

No not useful really. I remain flummoxed about how rude and condescending some people are - seems like some teachers talk to everyone as if they were a delinquent year 9 regardless of their age and experience.

I'm alright with the kids but I confess I really struggle with some colleagues and the way they talk to you.

@JanFebAnyMonth I’m SW London. Small area of our borough and somewhere on edge of neighbouring borough surge testing. Our local public health seems to have upped its game for once…

It’s funny I almost think of London as another country (despite having lived there for 18 months when just graduated) and am surprised to find myself talking to “Londoners”!

Conference says they’re still looking at safety of vaccines for children. Patrick Vallance briefly mentioned school term in list of reasons why they’re delaying until 19 July.

We’ve got air con, but it’s the wrong sort for covid. It’s the sort that blows the air around the room rather than coming from an outside source.

OTOH not having alarms going off every 10mins because the room has gone out of temp range is a game changer.

Only the ones without fans blowing covid around, MrsH.
