RAVEC security is based on need isn’t it. So even if they do get it, it can be taken away. How are they going to keep faking security breaches whilst having state funded security.

I don’t think they will pay for school fees as PP mentioned, I imagine that is covered by a trust.

School fees are going to be small potatoes compared to their staffing costs and security.

The fundamental point they don't seem to be getting is that security is granted by Ravec on the basis of assessed risk and actual threats. It explicitly excludes intrusions into privacy, including by prrss photographers, and they have had this directly from Ravec in writing. So this week's 'security breach' is no such thing for Ravec.

I used to work in the secondhand online book trade.
If the book on eBay is genuine, I guess the seller is using the listing to help promote their eBay shop.
It is vastly overpriced, at most it’s worth around £200-£500 and the best way of selling a ‘unique’ inscribed book would be at a specialised book auction or to contacts in the trade. One of the best ways of assessing the price of an unusual book is to imagine who the attracted buyers will be, and how deep their pockets are. Objectively there will be very little interest by serious buyers, it will not attract signed book collectors who go for items that will increase in value, or have literary connections. The bottom has fallen out of royal memorabilia over the past couple of decades - only if it had an association with someone like QEII or KC or a key point in history such as the 1930s abdication you can imagine it selling for a few thousand, but two current minor members of the RF no way.

The seller has no other books listed over £100, so it’s very odd indeed.

Harry still not getting it

I wonder how he thinks he is serving “my country” 🤔

How is this possible for a non-working royal? The whole point of them leaving was to be financially independent and pursue commercial opportunities, aka serving themselves. Which is fine! But it’s not serving “my country”.

Lorraine Kelly questioning the Duchess of Sussex?!
The bosses at itv won't put up with that.
Watch your back, Lorraine!

She's got her eye on the new year's honours list 👑

Harry still not getting it

Oh god, this is Harry saying all the wrong, privileged things again.

'When I left the army, I was given a top job and granny even knighted me, top hole! But other people didn't get all this because they're just not as special as me and all these veterans' live are shit. Because they're not me. So all you top brass had better do something about that because I said so and I'm a global thought leader because I'm knighted by my granny for doing the army thing for a whole ten years and not getting arrested because we managed to cover it all up. Not like those ordinary soldiers. Their lives are shit. And ... that's it.'

If anyone is interested in the eBay book to monteshiteo advent calendar exchange rate, it would cost you around 178 advent calendars to one overpriced bench book

No-one defends AMW on these threads.

I know, William (and a good thing that they don't), but while Andrew's complete lack of judgement's a given it was the Queen's I was referring to

Unfortunately we saw once more an example of "I'll do what I want and to hell with what the public think" ... a Windsor trait it seems, which is why I still worry that Harry will be indulged yet again

Styleinabeyance · Yesterday 11:58

Hi! Yes, I had a crappy few days but feel a bit better now, thanks. My public engagements thus far in October have mostly involved supporting our wonderful health service (trying to get a GP appointment once discharged from hozzie), and voluntary social care (calming DP the fuck down, god love him).

Glad to see that the HaM PR disasters remain entertaining. I'm not supposed to get stressed, but this thread counts as a calm and casual hobby, right?
