Was King Charles wrong to take a rose from Charles Spencer's bouquet?

Charles Spencer says as Diana's coffin was lowered into the ground, several people there dropped flowers on the coffin. King Charles took a rose from Charles Spencers bouquet and dropped it on Diana's coffin.

This struck me as it shows a very casual disregard for other people's feelings. This was Charles Spencers flowers, but without a thought, king Charles took mine of the flowers. And remember relationships were extremely strained between the two men.

Sometimes I think the smallest incidents like this can reveal someone's true character. It's like someone being rude to a waiter. The king just acts like no one else matters except what he wants.

Yes good luck to this odious man keen to nake a buck off of his dead sisters name who instead of celebrating her life and all she achieved (not a fan of any royal but she did break barriers amongst her flaws), seems to have riddled it with spite and bad feeling.

Did William and Harry have a flower to throw? Did CS give them a flower but not KC? Because that's a bit petty.

Or did CS want to be the only person to throw a flower and KC stole his idea?

Or KC thought "oh shit I didn't realise we'd be throwing flowers and I don't have one, I'll just discreetly pull one out of here".

Or did KC instruct his servant to pull apart CS's bouquet in a moment of rage so he could throw in the biggest flower?

So many questions. I might read the book to find out.

And I am aware while quietly laughing at how absurd it all is that a woman died and left her 2 sons without their mum. That's tragic. I'm not laughing at her.

I can’t say I particularly like either massively but a Spencer is an odious toad who is dragging up anything and everything in order to to sell more books. He’s the one selling Diana down the river.

He's the father of the two boys burying their mother. Of course he should have been there!

Can you imagine it the other way round as well. I can just imagine CS moaning that he’d given everyone a flower to throw onto the coffin but KC refused to take one. 😱 Fucks sake.

The question is how to get hold of the book without funnelling money to the non deserving author… EBay or second hand booksellers I guess.
Not a fan of the monarchy in general but I feel for them being attacked publicly by Spencer.

This is also my problem. I suspect charity shops will be full of copies in a couple of months. I can wait. Or maybe the library will have it.

Although I think he also gets 50p or something every time his book is borrowed from a library. I'll hang on for the charity shops

Well I think we can all see where Harry gets it from now.

I can't imagine living such a sad and bitter life that I have to rehash every gripe over decades of my life. Money and greed really does bring out the worst.

Diana had named in her will who should be involved in arranging her funeral. Her ex husband the king was not named. Her mother Frances was named. But not only was Frances shut out from the funeral arrangements, the king refused permission for Diana's coffin to be opened so that Frances could see the body.

I think Harry has found an ally…
