That boy at the school was probably chosen by the school to be the focus, and his parents were probably very proud (till the fuck off bit) and maybe he was too. Just for perspective, unless we know otherwise there might not have been 6 cameras just because he says it, it can be a turn of phrase to exaggerate the thing that is annoying.
But anyway, yes Harry would have done better to be more formal and pay individual attention face to face. Were they his team filming and choosing which clips to release? If so does that mean these were the best bits?

Mylovelygreendress · 19/09/2026 10:17

Can anyone seriously imagine William behaving like that ?

There is something else he is not doing in that video that other royals do - listening. The other royals will ask questions and listen to replies, then respond to them with further questions.

This is so true. HAM in general often seem to be lacking in genuine interaction. They do a performance, rather than making a connection.

No, nor Catherine, Sophie, Edward, Anne, Charles or Camilla.

Just had a look at the video in the school in Birmingham. My god Harry looks so shabby! The kids are so smart in their uniforms, but he turns up in faded jeans and a greying tshirt? That's the type of thing you wear on a weekend when you know you're probably only going to leave the house to run into the Tesco Express for some milk and eggs. Definitely not what you wear on a 'royal' visit to a school. No wonder the poor kids look bored. Show a bit of respect and you might get some in return. Or not.

My DH dresses smarter than that for a hospital visit (he wants his consultant to think he's worth saving). I really hate his scruffy look.

twosmallaxolotls · 19/09/2026 10:28

What he is wearing would break the staff dress code where I work. No scruffy trousers or tatty polo shirts or shabby shoes. He looks a mess.

It's so disrespectful. Like I say, it's the type of outfit you throw on when you're not really expecting to interact with anyone. Certainly not when making a 'royal' visit to smartly dressed students. Casual is one thing, but scruffy quite another. Add in the failed attempt at bantz and the whole thing is just toe curling.

@sickofsixseven
Am I the only person who can hear the kid saying "fuck off" under his breath after "there are 6 cameras in my face"?

No, you're not.
You can hear and plainly see him mouthing "Fuck off" as Harry wanders off to another table.
I think it shows the excellent manners of that boy; many people would have told Harry to fuck off to his face.

I would interpret that as withdrawing consent to be filmed.

Thanks for the the new thread @jeffgoldblum
I've gone back to my old name, it's too exhausting thinking of something vaguely contextual and maybe a bit witty.

Colleague at work yesterday commented the joys of a new term, a flood of emails saying "Nits in year 3" "Thread worms in year 3" "Nits in year 1"

I really, really hope M&H have received similar emails by now, better still if from both schools. Nits are no respecters of wealth and private schools.
I recall a column by a UK columnist on a USA sojourn, she had managed to bring nits back from a trip home to the UK, send her child to the USA school and a playdate at another's home before noticing the nits. When she fessed up all hell broke loose. Trips to paediatricians. The playdate mother accusing her of spreading active infection and having her home fumigated. Social opprobrium.

One can only imagine Meghan's horror should she receive the dreaded letter.
And I cast no shade on little Lily in saying this, but I think she does have the sort of hair that nits will love.

Starryfifty · 19/09/2026 10:38

Ouch 😂

Why is he the only one not wearing an Ingriftus branded polo?

The main thing about Lili’s hair re nits is it is long and never seems to be tied up. Both red flags for lice to jump on to and off from.

I remember many a night with a nitty gritty comb and a bottle of spray on conditioner.

DancingFerret · 19/09/2026 10:44

I wouldn't mind betting someone has already brought to KC's attention those videos of his younger son "performing". He's probably thinking he didn't release the statement about HaM's non-royal status a moment too soon.

It's not fair on the public, and certainly not schoolchildren, to allow the idiot Harry to roam at will without a minder.

Starryfifty · 19/09/2026 10:45

I disagree with Alison B. Not a chance they leaving UK. H sees himself as back in with the public. He's too deluded to see otherwise

Am I the only person who can hear the kid saying "fuck off" under his breath after "there are 6 cameras in my face"? Is this actually a real clip?

https://x.com/Knesix/status/2101039805668712933

At the end of that clip he looks really, really pissed off at the forced clowning going down like a cup of cold sick.

fridaynightzzz · 19/09/2026 10:49

I’ve been rewatching the clip. I truly think he believes he is some kind of star.
I asked my 18 year old and she knows Harry is the ‘ginger one’ she has no idea who Meghan is. He’s not relevant. He’s a middle aged balding man.
I imagine when William is about there is a bit of shine around him on the basis of being the future King. I can say if he was there, he would sit and engage with them properly (and probably be briefed what to ask them about). He doesn’t engage with any of them properly, just tits about saying stupid stuff.
As PP said, why isn’t he wearing a branded top/fleece He only seems to do black tie or total scruff.

Starryfifty · 19/09/2026 10:53

I bet the "fuck off" kid was planted by PW

ShamedBySiri · 19/09/2026 10:54

Also from the Alison Boshoff article

"For now they are staying in a house on the estate of a wealthy friend in the Cotswolds. They think it is ‘ideal’ and apparently love it there."

I bet they love it there and think it is ideal! Poor old Ian Wace has just acquired a pair of squatters! 😂

You're right, H never listens. Remember, a year or more ago, him asking a child in hospital if he got on with his brother? The child said yes I do, I like him but Harry carried on with the crap bantz he'd set up saying something like "Yeah siblings can be so difficult." Playing to the audience, with the script he'd prepared, rather than listening to the child & responding appropriately. Twat.

But what if he doesn’t get security? Despite his - alleged- confidence I am not convinced they will get what H wants ( demands) . They have been here for about 3 weeks now and my feeling is that Met security would have swung into action if there was a serious risk .

MaturingCheeseball · 19/09/2026 10:58

I am rolling in the rug in cringerama embarrassment for him. David Brent crossed with a “fun uncle” and “I’m down wid de kidz, me” - shudder 🫣

Totally agree that Lili looks like a nit magnet. Ds had similar hair (yes, I was that silly mother whose ds had flowing locks - boy, am I in trouble now “I looked like a home-schooled freak!”) and many an hour was spent combing and many ££££ on Hedrin.
