To add to the fun the HAMs also appear to have annoyed many in the farming community...the body of the following article is behind a pay wall but I think you can get the gist of the grumbles from the headline...

Yes, especially after the tragedy of poor Iris Goldsmith.

Here’s the video of him being funny not shaking hands when playing pickleball. And then he does a little dance at the end of the video.

He’s an absolute prick.

Multibarpack · 19/09/2026 09:28

The fact that they never worked out that Lili finishes an hour before Archie

Other private schools I know where year groups finish at different times provide the option of an afterschool club for younger siblings so they both be picked up together.

That’s so bad!
He says ‘There are six camera’s in my face - do you really think I’m calm?’

You can tell the way he’s looking at the camera before he speaks how uncomfortable he is.

After them bleating about children on social media, and not putting their own children’s faces online, but happy to use other peoples children for publicity, such a hypocrite

Yes youre right! Now that you've said it, that's what I hear. Harry is an absolute hypocrite, why didnt he make them all turn around so that only the backs of the heads could be seen? Isn't that how you protect kids online?

IcedPurple · 19/09/2026 09:33

Just had a look at the video in the school in Birmingham. My god Harry looks so shabby! The kids are so smart in their uniforms, but he turns up in faded jeans and a greying tshirt? That's the type of thing you wear on a weekend when you know you're probably only going to leave the house to run into the Tesco Express for some milk and eggs. Definitely not what you wear on a 'royal' visit to a school. No wonder the poor kids look bored. Show a bit of respect and you might get some in return. Or not.

twosmallaxolotls · 19/09/2026 09:25

Yes, especially after the tragedy of poor Iris Goldsmith.

And the between 4 and 16 other fatalities on quad bikes every year (some of which could have been prevented with helmets)

JSMill · 19/09/2026 09:36

@IcedPurpleexcellent point.

Harry seems to spend 1/3 of his time telling everyone how damaging it was to have cameras in his face as a youngster, 1/3 of his time telling us how damaging it is to post images of children on the internet, and the other 1/3 of his time sticking cameras in young people’s faces and putting it on the internet.

@fridaynightzzz

Word salad

https://x.com/that_1/status/2101041882151219521/video/1?s=46

Brought this over from the last thread as that one is close to closing. I hope you don't mind, fridaynightzzz.

Imo, that speech is awful.

Basically, he's telling children that they're going to have a shit time and that they will have to construct a shield for themselves just to be able to get up in the morning.
It's the most hopeless speech, both in "hopeless" meaning "bad" (he repeats the word "know" until it loses its meaning and there's no sense or useful advice there) but also in "hopeless" meaning "without hope": bad things will happen to you, you are going to get hurt...
It's a terrible message to give young people.

I'd love to know what the speakers before him said, because he only acknowledges them by saying "As these guys sort of touched on..." (my italics).
Those guys eh, Harry?
They only "sort of" touched on it?
Whereas you banged on about "perspective".
He's spouting meaningless crap.

That 1 (@that_1) on X

It looks like the mental fitness instructor Citizen H has switched to another drug of choice.

UncleColm · 19/09/2026 09:45

In that recent article that was archived a 'friend' is quoted as saying they expected to be able to use the bus lanes.....the arrogance! And that the dry school run was done in July - it just goes to show how completely out of touch they are. I have never, ever heard of someone starting their kids in one school and then changing because of practicalities within days. Most parents put so much thought and care into their children starting school.

The videos from the school....I'm cringing watching them. And some very valid points have been made about these children appearing now on social media when we all know how Harry is against children appearing on SM.. His waffly talk about being hurt and gaining perspective was horrible to listen to.... What an incredibly privileged life Harry has had - the best education money can buy, opportunities to travel all over the world and meet amazing people - and he doesn't take the time to write some words and deliver them in an engaging way

Wouldn't it be amazing if HaM just called it as it is....'we messed up, we're broke, we want to rebuild our lives in the UK' and did a reality programme on it. But that's just not who they are..

I've been musing on him saying this and I'm actually now a bit angry that Ingriftus/the school didn't do more to protect these kids.

Why SIX cameras?!

Why not one film, one for stills. Photos/film can be easily shared. Harry, after all has lectured the rest of us about keeping kids safe online, should understand that no child needs six cameras in their face, especially at school. I'm annoyed they weren't limited.

Especially as it was a medium-sized charity doing a launch of something fairly niche, albeit "national" by a private citizen.

Are they filming all this for the next netflix series maybe? It will either be about their triumphant return to public service, or how they had to retreat back to America because of the hostile British people/press/schoolchildren/the royal family etc

@sickofsixseven
Am I the only person who can hear the kid saying "fuck off" under his breath after "there are 6 cameras in my face"?

No, you're not.
You can hear and plainly see him mouthing "Fuck off" as Harry wanders off to another table.
I think it shows the excellent manners of that boy; many people would have told Harry to fuck off to his face.

I'm pretty sure they're not broke in any meaningful sense of the word. Not having as much as your "friends" doesn't make you broke.

What is even going on in those videos? What was the purpose of his visit? In the one where he is weirdly gesticulating whilst the kids ignore him he comes off like a mentally ill homeless person you might see in downtown Los Angeles. Wtaf. Whats the sussex squad spin on it? Or I guess they are awaiting instructions. I dont see how you could have such an issue with William and catherine getting one bad photo in a sequence, but be ok with whatever that was. Also the clip where he is "jokingly" refusing to shake hands with the one kid just seems mean

Edited

He often does that with kids and with disabled veterans: the ‘joke’ handshake refusal and putting his thumb up to his nose with his fingers waggling, like a silly eight year old. Sometimes he does it twice in a row to the same person.

I do wish someone would tell him to fuck off and walk away, instead of smiling along uncomfortably. He’s just awful.

I once told Donald Duck to F off when I was at a work do at Disneyland and he deliberately kept getting in my way as I was trying to set up the meeting room. So I’m happy to oblige.

Sometimes he does it twice in a row to the same person.

He did it three times in a row to that poor child until the child offered his hand yet again to shake for a fourth time and Harry barely touched it.
Shows who he's more likely to pick on.

I remember adults in the 80s thinking teasing kids like that was hilarious. As a child myself I just thought they were dickheads and bore a grudge, for life.

These kids haven't got a clue who Harry is. He's just some balding middle aged bloke in tatty jeans and a greying tshirt. They must be a bit bewildered by his presence, and by the idea that they're all supposed to be impressed by his word salad speeches and attempts at getting down wiv the kids. Cringetastic.

And he made a whole show of shaking everyone else's hand around him but that one kid. Dick

Exactly.

On Royal visits to sensitive places like schools or hospitals, there are reduced numbers from the royal rota (sometimes one photographer and one reporter) and the information is then shared to others.
