Breaking news in the Daily Mail. Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children 'removed from school after two days' mol.im/a/16130877 via https://dailym.ai/android

I do wonder if there is actually any school that will be able to meet their expectations in regard to security. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

Feel so sorry for those kids. This must be really unsettling for them.

SulkingInTheCatio · Yesterday 20:43

Does make you wonder are H & M doing this to try and force the decision regarding security provision? Hope not.

AmberSpy · Yesterday 20:44

Poor kids, I can't imagine theirs will be an easy childhood

alexdgr8 · Yesterday 20:44

Well that's convenient...

exactly my thought!

Me too.

This is such a non issue.
The kids have just moved to the UK, they probably need more time to settle. They are also still young, and they have more than the means to home school.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the plan was always to flounce back to California after a few weeks/months. They can claim they tried their best to mend bridges, etc but were forced back due to lack of security and general nastiness. Gets more headlines, publicity and reinforces the victim mentality.

Well maybe, but I can’t see how this would work as a strategy. Surely you choose a school that you can get to from where you live with the minimum of fuss. None of the other children are taken to school with outriders, are they?

Of course they are.

This is all been calculated. We'll do x, ask for y, but if z happens (like it has) we'll do a, b and then if that doesn't work - c ! That'll show 'em!

And then theyll flounce off back abroad and be able to wring their hands in an interview and say tearfully ''We tried .... so hard .... to forgive and forget - but look how they treated us ...... AGAIN !!!!!! ...''

And then maybe another book?

As I said on other thread, if the Dragon, Oxford traffic & school always going to be a potential, logistical nightmare re: security etc. Why was any of this a sudden, left-field, shock?

BemusedAmerican · Yesterday 20:55

The Montecito neighbors said the security guys dropped the kids off at school in Montecito, not the parents. Maybe they should try that with the kids and security in one car.

Oh wait, aren't they still employing the security that got them stuck in NYC midtown traffic? 🤔

PropertyD · Yesterday 20:56

I am heartily sick of the two of them and their games

Fondmemories · Yesterday 20:56

They are so tiresomely transparent. They will do anything to force the security issue, even upset and disrupt their kids.

No idea about how Louis and Charlotte get to school. I’d guess they have some form of police escort even if not outriders. But ultimately they are more of a target than Archie and lillbet? The other minor royals and their kids seem to manage without police.

Maybe there hasn’t actually been a school and the whole thing is made up for sympathy and headlines. Be interesting to see if anyone has actually seen these kids anywhere near a U.K. school!

Samewrinklesnewname · Yesterday 20:57

The biggest risk to these children’s security is their bloody parents and their shenanigans

FancyKitten · Yesterday 21:00

H&M seem to be the inverse of Wills & Kate.

littlebilliie · Yesterday 21:00

Those poor little children

ProudBlackMomma · Yesterday 21:00

So ridiculous

TonyDancer · Yesterday 21:00

It’s probably yet another ploy to throw shade onto the RF plus it keeps them in the news. I cannot fathom why on earth they’d think moving back to the UK was a good idea for anyone. I think H is in it up to his neck but can’t show his birth family any weakness because they told him so. People like that who know they’ve made a terrible mistake against the advice of others tend to dig their heels in. He’ll have to scuttle off back to the US

pilates · Yesterday 21:01

More attention seeking behaviour. Pathetic.

I do wonder what effect H&M’s deranged behaviour will have on their children.

Edited

I don’t have private security, but even I, with my basic civilian experience of logistics planning, would expect my security experts to try a few dry runs at the various schools that were on the short list to work out in advance which were the best choices from a security perspective.

It’s all so very nakedly manufactured drama.

Passingthroughagain · Yesterday 21:03

Maybe she should've thought about security when she posted the video of them in their current home yesterday – it took people minutes to identify where it is. Which means she basically drew a map for their route to school.

Those poor kids though. How confusing for them.

It won't make a difference. The Govt is not going to give them tax payer-funded security to do the school run. This is on their security team for not figuring out potential traffic hold ups.
