I do wonder if there is actually any school that will be able to meet their expectations in regard to security. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

I’m not really. I think envy and racism are solid hypotheses to explain the bizzare nature of a thread that piles on hate about a couple of parents who made a school run error. so much energy and effort going into this seems odd.

I’ve been told envy and racism are not the motivation (and given a telling off for even daring to suggest it) so I’m curious to hear other possible motivations.

Until then I have no other hypotheses that make me think my original hypotheses are less likely.

Criticism is not hate.
H&M claim to be public figures. It is perfectly legitimate to comment on and criticise the words and actions of public figures.
If they didn't put the information out there, there would be nothing to comment on.
They informed the world they were moving back to the UK
They threw a hissy fit at the Lord Chamberlain's letter
They released a video in which their location could be easily identified
They put out the story about the school
Their actions are inconsistent with the belief that they face a major threat to their security.

I think it’s more likely that your motivations here smacks of racism.

This with bells on. They could avoid a lot of the criticism by simply not announcing their information to the world. We wouldn’t know, most of us wouldn’t give it a second thought, their security would be tighter.

But they don’t want to fly under the radar do they? They want to be public figures/celebs and those kids are being punted out to that end.

I’ve no idea. And don’t intend to spend much time thinking about it.

And that really isn’t relevant to my point - which is - it’s really bizarre to spend so much time and energy hating two people who have little impact on us and the strongest hypotheses to explain this bizarre behaviour is envy it racism.

I get that people dont want to spend public money on security for wealthy people who can afford it themselves, but I’d say the same about all the Royal family.
