Breaking news in the Daily Mail. Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children 'removed from school after two days' mol.im/a/16130877 via https://dailym.ai/android

I do wonder if there is actually any school that will be able to meet their expectations in regard to security. I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

where did she post the morning routine thing that shows where they live? Is it still available to view? Curious to know where they've decided to settle.

Spaniels4Eva · Yesterday 21:26

At least they are predictable.

They are both so desperate to get IPP status, you can smell it on them.

I hope Charles doesn't fall for this charade.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the plan was always to flounce back to California after a few weeks/months. They can claim they tried their best to mend bridges, etc but were forced back due to lack of security and general nastiness. Gets more headlines, publicity and reinforces the victim mentality.

This is exactly what I think this has been all about. A factory reset, if you will, to the time immediately before “Megxit”. They have come over and deliberately caused chaos in order to go back and have something new to moan about: the hostile UK press and the royal family treating them badly, and the kids being shunned by their nasty aunt and uncle. Victimhood is their currency, and they had more or less run out of anything to complain about. Probably we will have an Oprah style reboot interview and Spare Vol 2. Pair of arseholes.

edit to add: this bad behaviour was predictable and I wish Charles had never given them
a foot in the door with the Highgrove tea. But now there is no doubt their intentions are malevolent, he needs to do a bit more to distance the working royal family from this pair. Starting with taking them off the website.

Poor kids. They need a stable childhood

HappyHedgehog247 · Yesterday 21:28

Threads full of hate speech like this are exactly why they need to be worried about security. They are reviled in the press every single day. The Daily Mail articles didn't stop even when they were in the US. I hope they find peace as a family.

Gosh there’s a lot of hatred for them on this thread!
I think Harry is bound to be extremely paranoid about his children after what happened with his mother. His children are presumably the most precious things in his life and he’s terrified they’ll be harmed. I actually feel sorry for him.

I'm not exactly a fan of them. But I agree. People are so nasty about them. The vitriol is mad.

In case anyone cares, as it was implied she didn't earlier. Meghan did do school drop off, as someone I know who's child goes there, actually saw her.

If you are genuinely scared for your children’s safety, why put out a video like that yesterday? People identified where they were straight away. And yes, people are annoyed that HandM want their security paid for by others when they show such little regard for their own personal safety.

They're being manipulative dickheads

If a penny of my tax starts going to those wankers I'm quitting work in the uk

NautilusLionfish · Yesterday 21:33

"The decision for the children to move school was taken following a discussion with the family's security team about the practicalities of their current arrangements".
How much risk assessment did they carry out before moving to the UK and before choosing this school? Surely after 2 days things cant have dramatically changed that much? Do they jump into things before thinking them through? I still dont understand why they moved to the UK given their perceptions of it and how happy (they said) they were in the US and how they or at least he couldn't see a world in which he would bring his family here (without full royal like security which he doesnt have yet). Mind blowing but then they are rich. They can move schools, loose deposits and can afford therapies so yeah, have at it

So much drama

SecretDressAgent · Yesterday 21:33

I usually catch the bus into Oxford and the idea of choosing a school in Summertown where you have to have a car is beyond madness.

I mean, I didn’t see the video but thought I heard it was at a relative’s estate, not where they are living but I’ll admit I don’t seek out posts about them so may well be wrong.
I would hate the scrutiny the RF get and the hatred. So much hatred for two people who none of us really actually know. Whipped up by the press who love the scandal. Horrific.

XelaM · Yesterday 21:34

But everyone knows where the other Royal children go to school and no one is concerned about this being a security risk? What makes Megs & Harry's kids more special than the other Royal children?

LivelyGreyShark · Yesterday 21:34

First time they did the school run in traffic.

Andylion · Yesterday 21:34

@BemusedAmerican Oh wait, aren't they still employing the security that got them stuck in NYC midtown traffic

That’s the problem. Their American security is driving on the wrong side of the street.

There are thousands of celebrity kids and kids of UHNW families who go to school in the UK every day without this sort of drama. Finding these types of shenanigans ridiculous and saying so on mumis not hate speech.

Busy and informative threads 👏
How's this all going to end?

I honestly can't stand them. She's done nothing and given nothing for the British people. Openly shows her contempt. Opted out of royal life because it was too "hard" but wants all royal privileges.

I hope they do piss off back to the USA and never come back again.

And yes, I initially really, really wanted to like her. I have the same colouring as her, and was naively looking forward to perhaps reading beauty tips from or about her at a bare minimum. I hoped she'd generally be a great ambassador for the UK but she couldn't be bothered. As for Harry, the less said the better.

His mother died because she didn’t wear a seatbelt and got into a car with a drunk driver.

William manages to not be overly paranoid, they publish freely where their children go to school

They were hounded by the press before they left. Which is why am still shocked they came back when nothing has changed in terms of why they left. He could not see a world in which he could bring his family here due to security concerns (Without full police protection) so why did he? Whats so urgent that its worth risking it all. I feel sorry for them but I am still wondering why they came (its not as if Harry cares much about his dad. All the good in him, is according to him from his mum. And when he did an interview in his home the reporter said there wasnt a single pic of Charles. So its not because he is sick. So why return to the UK. I feel sorry for them all and wish them peace

well to be fair they whipped up alot of drama by themselves: on Oprah, writing a book about
killing taliban, how he lost his virginity and how awful his whole family are…..

If it was limited to people being annoyed about them wanting funded security, then OK. But it's not. It's a constant stream of vitriol against them about anything and everything.

Like I say, I'm not particularly a fan. They do not present themselves well. And I agree with your point about the picture they shared, that was stupid. But I don't understand the extreme hatred that some people seem to have for them.
