Is there any more to be said. I expect there probably is. So I started a new thread. Be interesting to see what their next move is. It's like a game of chess A we getting clarification. I want to know if they'll be doing walkabouts, hospital visits, and so on. Being greeted by dignitaries at home and overseas like they were on their visit to NY and Australia.

Thing is the Clooneys are actual A-list successful, talented people so they don’t need to do it. H&M have nothing much to offer other than ‘being royal’.

Yes, the Clooneys are there by virtue of hard work and talent.

If Hedgehog wants an example of how 'famous people' manage to behave with decorum, she should look at the HAM's would-be friends, the Clooneys. You hardly hear a peep out of them and I've never seen their children paraded around for the cameras. They don't publish every family outing for the plebs to fawn over. I'm not up-to-speed on celebrities, I admit, but I've never seen photos of the couple other than when they are attending events.

I think it's on record that they were mystified as to why M invited them to the wedding and are definitely NOT close friends.

Quite. And another famous example, the Wales family. We have no idea where they are or what they are doing when they are not making official public appearances. We have not seen the two younger children return to school and the only photos of George at Eton were the official ones on his first day. I don’t even know what that really famous bloke, the king is doing in his down time. Other than it probably involves gardening but I haven’t seen any insta photos of that

PleasantGreenPorcupine · Yesterday 09:49

@OneLilacHedgehog what famous people go out for a walk with their children, have a photographer record it, then publish the images?
Especially famous people allegedly concerned with security and privacy?

LaMarschallin · Yesterday 09:49

It's only people who are famous for being famous - like reality "stars" for example - that need to film their family walks and stick it up on Instagram.
People who are actually productive or doing something worthwhile already have publicity because of those things.
George Clooney and films, for example.

TheSparklyGoat · Yesterday 11:14

OneLilacHedgehog · Yesterday 07:55

I thought they took it?
But yes they do.
Harry and Meghan are famous and just behaving like famous people. It's people's hate of them here that is fuelling critical comments.

It’s their unusual behavior which is resulting in public comment.

I wonder how one would describe them and their fame to someone who had never heard of them before. Could you do so without mentioning anyone else?

Harry is famous for…
Meghan iS famous because…

Spot on - yes, that is precisely the level they’re operating on- that of TV reality stars.

Wow - how very A-list….NOT.

Agree. The D list actress has not elevated her behaviour to suit her A list aspirations.

She’s behaving like a desperate D list influencer because that’s the undignified grifting, grasping, grabbing instinct she is at her core.

So how did they take pictures of themselves on a woodland walk, turning around to look at....someone with a camera?

All fake, all set up, all probably lit and directed.

But they know their fans will lap it up.

I think the Daily Mail article on the IG video suggested it was thought to be one of the children (with a phone?) videoing H&M walking ahead, MM turns to them and is heard to say “Come on, you”. She may have been speaking to the dog.

The archived article was on the PR Disasters thread yesterday evening IIRC.

If we put our collective heads together, how many examples could we think of, of really famous people making home movies of them and their kids just taking a walk and then posting them for the world to see. According to the lilac hedgehog, this is what famous people do, so there must be LOADS of examples.

Can't think of a single one. It's not what famous folk do. They are looking more ridiculous by the day. What's next.

It’s what people desperate to look like they’re interesting when they’re boring because all they think about or do is about them … and they’re the only ones interested, the rest of us just roll our eyes and laugh!

They've pulled the kids out of school after only 2 days. The drama continues.

They are terrifically tedious.

i hope someone trawls up something from their past(s) that will make them go to ground for about 20 years.

There is a snag in that I’m not sure either of them are capable of feeling shame but I live in hope.

In other good news, H has had a letter confirming that the risk management board will do a new risk assessment for H now he is living in the UK and for the first time, M will have one of her own done! That's because she is very important.

But the letter from RAVEC to H does point out that the risk assessments do not mean there will be a change in their current arrangements. Don't throw that phone number away, Harold.

Did the drivers of the three convoy cars (all massive) use the police number when the cars were separated on the way to the Mythical-Fire-Breathing-Creature School which boasts many actor alumni more famous than MM? If HAM are looking for stories to stress their need for securidy, they could let it be known that they called and (choose as many as feels right) a) no-one answered because the police are useless b) police attended but took no action because the police are useless c) police attended but failed to bring a spare tyre because they are useless d) police attended but had a 10-minute break to eat a sandwich because the police are useless e) police attended but Archie and Lili were scared because the police are useless.

Yes, unlikely, but fingers crossed.

@shanghainights To get security reviewed!!! It’s worked!!! It’s tedious beyond belief. Please go back to USA.

I don't think it's worked.

I think it’s part grey rock, part tick the boxes. Giving H nothing valid to complain about, but maintaining the status quo.

He will get security if there is a need. A security need, not ego or crowd control that can be handled by private security staff. The need will be reviewed as necessary, H's move to the UK makes a review sensible. All the proper process and legally watertight.

TheSparklyGoat · Today 05:38

The level of detail they released about changing schools is shocking. How can they pretend to care about security while announcing all that?
