Is there any more to be said. I expect there probably is. So I started a new thread. Be interesting to see what their next move is. It's like a game of chess A we getting clarification. I want to know if they'll be doing walkabouts, hospital visits, and so on. Being greeted by dignitaries at home and overseas like they were on their visit to NY and Australia.

True , and he's not even been the Spare for a long time, so he needs to get over it or get help.

A while ago there was a trend for what were called “Misery Memoirs”, in which authors described childhoods of shocking deprivation - eg Angela’s Ashes.

Amid all the fuss and blather surrounding Harry, I sometimes forget that 90% of his victimhood pose is based on the comically petty whines of sibling rivalry, the sort of thing most of us got over by the time we were 18. Even if he hadn’t added up the prize piece of work, Meghan, into the mix, with all her performative victim hood, his whole case is beyond ridiculous. Given the choice, who would choose to be William with all the prescription and duty that his life will involve?

I’d pay good money to see H tied to an interrogation chair and set on by someone like Paxman (not him, obvs, since he’s very ill now) and made to answer some tough questions.

Quite, it probably doesn't look like such a bad deal now, as he's desperate to be a working royal again.

Yes he is always SO DESPERATE to remind us of his position 🙄

Emily Maitlis would be a good one.

He’d probably be dumb enough to agree to it as well.

Do ordinary citizens have photos taken of Sunday walks with their children. Is this part of the pseudo royals antics. Bit pathetic and desperate.

He takes the photos or gets someone to do it then they release it. This isn't paparazzi.

The spare is the person who becomes monarch If something happens to the monarch and there is no child next in line. So prior to having kids, Harry was the spare so if anything happened to William he would have been king.

bit like when Edward abdicated and George took over, George was the spare. He was his brother and Edward had no kids.

right now the spare is Charlotte, if George couldn’t be king, ie he dies or fucks off, she would be queen. Once George has kids, it will be the sibling to the first born,

if William died, and Charles, George would be made monarch, but he would habe a regency until he reached adult hood. Ie an adult, which I think should be andrew as the oldest son but an act of parliament would likely make it Anne or Edward.

Under your own Regency Act, Catherine would become Regent if George is under 18:

Regency Act 1937

An Act to make provision for a Regency in the event of the Sovereign being on His Accession under the age of eighteen years, and in the event of the incapacity of the Sovereign through illness, and for the performance of certain of the royal functions...

The lead story in the DM today is that HAM don't want to be known as private citizens, they want to be known as 'public figures'. They're pathetic - utterly pathetic. I'm sick of them already and they've been back here for two weeks. I really hoped that they'd just move to some big house in the countryside and Harry would take up with his old chums again and they'd STFU and live quietly, but of course they were never going to do that.

Charles had no choice but to issue this clarification of their status, role and titles going forward, because they are here to try and reclaim everything they rejected so loudly and unpleasantly over the past six years and then they will sell that lifestyle via Meghan's pathetic business. The faux royal tours were them testing the waters - could they get away with it? It seemed they could, because Charles said nada. So here they are, back in Blighty and ready to bring their faux show to the homeland, slap a label on it and market it. Well fuck them! Pair of fucking grifters - AS EVER.

Edited

👏👏👏

They’re infamous, not famous! And as pp pointed out, they stir up the drama and get their own photographers to release boring dull stories … they’re desperate and self serving wannabes - they don’t do anything unless it’s for PR

Hypocritical weirdos have their photos taken going for a walk!

They want privacy, they are terrified of attack, they don’t believe in putting children on SM….yet here they are publishing to the world a private family moment…and clearly it’s not what it seems because a third party has been asked to take the photos.

Their cognitive dissonance is ridiculous.

Still not convinced that’s a genuine video but rather a few patched together bits .

Their whole output (from their image to the jam etc) is utterly fake and contrived- why can’t their adoring fans see this?

The tiniest amount of critical thinking tells you that.

I thought they took it?
But yes they do.
Harry and Meghan are famous and just behaving like famous people. It's people's hate of them here that is fuelling critical comments.

No. It's their behaviour, lies and disrespect.

They have no responsibility at all for what's happened? So it's not their words and actions... it's threads on MN?
Ok

So how did they take pictures of themselves on a woodland walk, turning around to look at....someone with a camera?

All fake, all set up, all probably lit and directed.

But they know their fans will lap it up.

Maitlis' last royal interviewee thought it went extremely well so I wouldn't bank on this being any different.

Do you honestly like fake, plastic people? This isn't as stupid a question as it appears because I'm genuinely interested in what sort of people swallow the Sussex's publicity. To me, it just screams fakery, performance, manipulation, schmaltz - yet there are some (Celebitchy is particularly scary on this) who seem to believe it and even like it.

😂
It would be marvellous to see H made to defend their lies and obfuscations over the years. But wait - it would all be the 'medias' fault - despite the lies being on video for us all to hear.

And their hypocrisy!

In my dreams.

Famous people who want privacy for themselves and their children, famous people who supposedly fear for their own and their children’s safety, do not arrange for family photos to be taken for posting on the internet, and in easily identifiable locations.

Many, many famous people manage to maintain privacy for their family with no problem at all.

This couple don’t want that, they put their own need to remain relevant ahead of anything else, including their own children.

I’m not sure why anyone would want to be applauding that. 🤷‍♀️

If Hedgehog wants an example of how 'famous people' manage to behave with decorum, she should look at the HAM's would-be friends, the Clooneys. You hardly hear a peep out of them and I've never seen their children paraded around for the cameras. They don't publish every family outing for the plebs to fawn over. I'm not up-to-speed on celebrities, I admit, but I've never seen photos of the couple other than when they are attending events.

I think it's on record that they were mystified as to why M invited them to the wedding and are definitely NOT close friends.
