It smells off to me.

Almost as if they were told of a meeting just so they’d be forced to retract and say sorry to someone.

Journalists keep records of all story sources, they always have in professional journalism, they may not disclose them but a story like that didn't come out of thin air. Just in case in 20-30 years time they are dragged into court to defend the story. I doubt many would wing it on an anonymous tip off unless they could corroborate it especially in DM so soon after the hearing. Taking it down is probably a favour to one side that will be repaid with useful info later. Geri is a bit left field for a made up story. Is Geri still friendly with VB? That could have been embarrassing.
Levinson took a lot of the criminal element out of the tabloids. As g string said, her stories were good old fashioned networking.

Isn't that Wace who has the secret island in the Hebrides?

One and the same.

Scorchio84 · 28/08/2026 18:53

Wow @catspyjamas1 😮

BigWillyLittleTodger · 28/08/2026 18:53

Wace is helping finance the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s UK move, two sources exclusively told Page Six. He is said to be worth a whopping $1.2 billion.

Any comment on this? @BunnyBunbunbun seems like Harry needs a financial helping hand after all.

Page Six confirmed the Sussexes are moving back to the UK for “an extended period of time.”

The Horner story seemed rubbish form the off though.

Written as if the Horners were giving them advice about returning?(iirc)

Surprised it got printed.

ajandjjmum · 28/08/2026 18:58

MrsLeonFarrell · 28/08/2026 16:33

I did wonder about that.

Isn't Geri Horner involved with one of the King's charities? I would have thought she was unlikely to befriend Harry and Meghan.

Wow @catspyjamas1 😮

I mean, I could be wrong after a couple for cocktails and reading both page Six and Allison's latest in the DM in the last 30 minutes!!

They have zero shame constantly sponging of anyone they can. For such an astute business man he probably thinks he is too clever to be marked, like so many before him!

Sponging off a billionaire is their pattern. It is more consistent with their established MO than asking his Dad, who has already complained about feeling like a bank, to finance them.

FWIW I'll say again, and anyone of course is free to ignore, that the subject heading being the names of the Sussexes makes it quite clear that the correction is to/on behalf of the Sussexes.

If the Horners had requested the correction, they'd be the subject of the heading.

That is how it works.

True but it’s doesn’t discount the possibility that the Horner’s put pressure on HAM to retract it.

Total speculation but it has been reported that the Horners were property hunting and it this may be their home is quietly on the market.

A not implausible scenario is that HAM viewed their house and leaked the association - which spun out of control.

Either way I’m not sure what I find more hilarious, that HAM are refuting a connection with the Horner’s or the reverse.

Out of them both I’d consider that HAM have far more to gain from that relationship (unless you’re flogging a house) than the reverse (especially given CH has made no secret of the face he intends to return to F1 and I can imagine HAM salivating at the possibilities of how to monetise invitations to the “races” - sure as hell beats a carriage ride at Ascot)

Considering Perry helped them when they left the UK, and this now in the UK, I did jokingly ask my BF if there is an Airbnb equivalent for stately homes & mansions / billionaires the rest of us plebs aren't aware of (couldn't entertain/afford). Like Raya for property.

How does it work? Their secretary has a black book and aristocratic connections to know of someone who happens to have a spare "house" available for rent.

I think it is also quite sad. No learnings, just another move full of hope and grandiose plans without anything to back them up.

AutumnCrowFlewOverTheCotswoldsNest · 28/08/2026 19:33

So, a billionaire is facilitating HaM’s divorce arrangements, and standing by to assist, no doubt?

How frightfully gauche, darling.

It’s becoming difficult to parody this sort of whackaloonery. Shock

There certainly seems to be a rich people network where you don't need to know each other very well to offer houses.

It really is very bizarre, I thought they were just a bit inadequate and arrogant, but this is a whole other level.

He's never shown him any courtesy or consideration before.

That was before he owed £9.4m to the Daily Mail and the rest to be decided.
