I shall go back to Recollections but this is too good of a name to waste- I wonder if this thread will run out before they arrive?

Thanks for the thread Todger

H has married his mother, it is a common enough event.

As for leaving the children, my friend is a nanny for HNW families, it is perfectly normal for the family she works in to be absent, sometimes for months, and often whilst still newborn. The stability is through the staff.

This is what Harry knew growing up and we believe Doria was absent, so they both know no different.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Last week, the story was that they were coming back as a family. Now we’re speculating that this could actually be some kind of decoupling exercise. Meghan is unpopular with many people in the UK, so I wonder whether there’s an element of reverse psychology at play. Are we being led to think that she is abandoning her dc which sounds sad and rather awful, in the hope that it makes us actually want her to come back to the UK? #overthinking 😂

On the other hand, Meghan chicken post could be saying 'we're going to give Britain another serious try, for the children and harry, without giving up the American life we've built.' It hints at the move being temporary as has been suggested. Meghan posting that sort of attention seeking stuff shows she is still playing the exact same games as she did when she started dating Harry. I do think it's very unwise and not in the interest of the children to be making some sort of mystery reveal out of this relocation. It's quite childish.

@BigWillyLittleTodger thank you for the new thread. I won't believe a word of what's meant to be going on until there's proper evidence - it's all smoke and mirrors atm!

This exactly

Thanks for the new thread. I think it’s divorce too but interesting that it looks like Harry will keep the kids. What was all that grandchildren of the monarch stuff? There was something on previous threads about it but I can’t remember.Mind you, if she’d been threatened with that we’d surely know about it.

Harry would do well to remember as well that Diana was a monarchist and whilst she was angry at Charles she believed in The Crown and would never have trashed the institution and HMTLQ the way HAM have done.

The grandchildren of the monarch thing was an archaic, now obsolete law that the Monarch effectively has jurisdiction over and custody of his or her grandchildren.

This is no longer the case, as the UK is signed up to laws and conventions (eg Hague Conventions 1980 & 1996) that mean the Sussex children are legally domiciled in California until and unless both parents choose otherwise. Charles would have to be an absolute nutjob to try and override The Hague Convention. In fact it’s strong evidence to me of a separation agreement.

We don’t know what their household is like, but recent reports of Meghan going loopy over news reports and everyone creeping round on egg shells so as not to set off the ‘tornado’ suggests that this might be a positive move for those children. And I do think that the posting online of pics of these two little dots has been a source of conflict in the family. I would like to think Meghan is a nice mummy, but all evidence points to the contrary (transactional, manipulative, bullying behaviours).

Hopefully they will live in a calmer house, with a kind nanny or two and a friendly house keeper - they can pop off to school with other children then come home to a nice tea (not UPF covered in flower sprinkles) and go with their dad for a ride around the paddock on a pony or whatever. There is, in my view, more of a chance of reconciliation with some of the RF without Meghan’s toxic presence, so hopefully they will build family relationships, too. Although who knows with this lot - the whole move might be off by lunch time.

Very good points. Harry has trashed the very institution that gave him everything and that he's desperate to still be part of.

treadrun · Yesterday 08:05

The lack of clear communication about their relocation along with the hints and rumours must be designed to generate media attention, but this kind of dangling always backfires because people hate feeling manipulated. It’s empty and desperate, especially if this is how they feel relevant. It’s also very sad.

MrsLeonFarrell · Yesterday 08:11

Whilst I don't think it is clear what is happening, it is sad if this all ends in divorce. What was the point of it all.

The only thing that will annoy me is if Harry manages to push all responsibility for the last 6 years onto Meghan (which is basically his MO) and behave as if he was completely innocent. I still maintain that he bears the greater responsibility for the way everything turned sour and the attacks on his family and the institution.

It will be William’s fault .

It already is on Celebitchy!

Also, William is behind H’s ‘resignation’ from African Parks - he wants the job.

The SS are deeply fearful for M. Catherine is bound to launch another racist attack and there’s also the danger that William, who secretly lusts after the sweet, fragile Meghan, might try something on while H is elsewhere.

It would be funny…except it’s terrifying that these people walk among us!

If he is here full time and she isn't I suspect he will find someone else. Although I don't know who would fancy him and all his baggage.

Imagine having M as the ex-wife his new bride has to deal with!
Nightmare.

I agree, but I can totally see this happening. It’s his only way back ‘in’ - to blame Meghan, when the reality is he is an adult who makes his own choices. He may be hoping to tap into the ‘poor little Harry’ response that most of the public had following the death of his mother.

Harry will have to learn ‘one tear, left eye’ on top of the breaking voice.

But of course! Nothing is ever H’s fault.

And I think, in his mind, he’s eternally 19, fresh-faced, cheeky, ‘hot’ and popular.

Which will play into that misogynistic trope that it's all the woman's fault. I would like him to apologise to his family and tell the public he has apologised. Then there may be a way forward for him here.

In "that interview", didn't she hint that she thought Charles wasn't fit to be king but was obviously supportive of William?

Sadly I think that is too much to hope for.

He would have to develop self awareness for that and it seems a little late for a complete change of personality.

Although a tiny bit of me wonders if he has begun to notice and dislike M’s deficits in how she relates to her children.

It would be one thing to excuse her behaviour to staff, his family, friends and even (who knows) to himself but quite another if she is as narcissistic as she appears to be in general towards her children.

It would become more obvious as they reach the sort of ages they are now and can express themselves.

If they fail to do her bidding and provide sufficient worship her anger may well be very unsettling for H to see.

I am not blind to Diana or indeed Charles faults but H had parents who loved him and were kind to him.

Watching M in action as a mother might come as quite a revelation.

Not saying this would be the only reason for the current situation at all, it is clear that finances, H’s loneliness and probably M’s desire to ditch her albatross husband are in play but possibly H is not that unhappy about his wife living elsewhere.

diddl · Yesterday 08:38

Desperate enough for him to go that she'd let the kids go as well?

She let go of every other relationship she’s ever had.

KimWexlersPonyTail · Yesterday 08:42

Just my thoughts: Harry will remain in the UK during term time, Meghan will rarely be here unless she can attend some royal adjacent event, Wimbledon or an acting job.
Meghan will be doing important jam spread business in SoCal, Harry and kids return to SoCal in school holidays. I don't think they will ever divorce but this gives Meghan some breathing space from Harry.

Lockupyourbiscuits · Yesterday 08:43

If the royals play it clever they will dig out another beautiful nhs nurse ( with a lot of patience ) and throw her into Harry’s path

It will be William’s fault .

It will be amber heard & Johnny Depp all over again. I will put money on it his drunken behaviour will have been recorded, unpleasant videos, staff statements, indiscreet stuff about his family & friends, she is more cunning than her fox! He will rage into the void about how she ruined his life. It will run forever (unless she finds a billionaire and gets a restraining order)
It will be ugly and the kids caught in the middle. As a previous poster said h is recreating his dysfunctional childhood.

Cocolapew · Yesterday 08:50

I can't believe they haven't put out a statement about the magnificent Dolly, she's keeping them off the headlines.
We all know they have to make everything about themselves.

AustenitesUnite · Yesterday 08:55

I keep wondering what M was hinting at when she gave us an exciting glimpse of her picking apples . . . .

Is she going to use her experience of jam-making to branch out into other preserves and produce an As Ever Chutney? Because, honestly, that's what we all need right now. There were only 40 - 50 different chutneys in my garden centre last week . . . .

Or is she going to show us all, step by monotonous step, how to create a Cotswold Ploughman's Plate, artfully arranging hand-cut slices of artisan bread, cheese & apples in an arc and sprinkling them with flower petals, just like the ploughmen of yore did every lunchtime

Perhaps she will produce a new dessert, Sussex Apple Tart, sharp-tasting with an unpleasant aftertaste that lingers for a long time

Or is she hinting at The Big Apple and she's going to take New York by storm although I think the Sussex's upset a few people there a while back with a story about a car chase
