by the looks of it Harry and the Kids are returning to the UK. It says the kids will go to school here

So how can Meg work from ‘International bases’ (Portugal) if her kids are at school in the UK????

This is starting to sound like a split.

I think Meg has the ick, he looks pretty rough at some event last night.

He so gives me Henry VIII vibes.

Those children being used as a golden shield for Harry forcing his way back.
If this was an everyday family on Mumsnet not issuing invitations to Christmas etc would be totally normal and unremarkable.
But with it all being public and either endless press commentary, freezing them out of family occasions where they aren’t welcome is going to look very mean.

The timing of it is strange. KC only found out on Sunday. So they had found school places before then presumably, so the schools knew before KC. Where are they living?

She has been holding on The Magic Ten Years- but the ANL judgement now means there won't be enough money for it to be worth it.

So now run out of options. Her trump card has disintegrated.

But by then the children will be habitually resident in the UK. She doesn't get to whisk them away with her if H disagrees.

There are plenty of private schools struggling for pupils. That could be sorted in a day. Not necessarily prestigious ones, but there are plenty out there.

So she now WANTS 40 people taking pics of her kids and she’s now NOT protecting her children and NOT being a good parent by sending her kids to a UK school?

That’s the logical conclusion.

Maybe because she won’t be the doing drop off and pick ups because she’ll be in Portugal, she’s not bothered?

If I was a parent of a primary aged child in the area I would be hoping they weren't joining my school, not because of the children but because it is the adults that bring the circus

She won’t be in Portugal. That’s just a fog leaf or a half way house for her to spend time with her DCs to save them a long haul jet lagged trip to Cali at half term and save her setting foot on Saltly Island. Why on earth would she need to work her collapsing business from a timeshare building site that would be dead most of the year. She will be in Cali - probs downsizing in LA. Monteshitshow will be sold to pay ANL.

She must be over a barrel of the $$$ are too great or they have something on her for her to leave her DCs in the UK.

I agree. But school places are no problem if you can pay. It might not be best for the children, but it is completely fixable.

Maybe also why it’s all so chaotic - in deciding to pull your kids out of school and move across the world in a decision that happened over the space of two weeks?! After getting back from holiday in the Uk….where he also found out he spectacularly lost the ANL case.

I reckon this. He's broke after the ANL case and probably agreeing to pay DL's share, plus his security case that he lost too and still has to pay costs for.
