Happy 10th birthday to Princess Charlotte.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have released an image via Instagram to mark the occasion. Photo taken by Catherine (apparently using an iPhone).

I love what she’s wearing. I get the impression that she’s very outdoorsy like her mum.

Lovely photo, it's the first time I've really seen William in her face. I don't why I'm surprised when people take after their parents but I always am!

I always think of Princess Diana when I see the birthday pictures, what a pity she didn’t get to see her grandchildren growing up.

She seemed to good with this age group. She’d be so proud.

My first response to that was that it’s Photoshopped. Something about the way her head sits on her body looks wrong — as though two different photos with a different filter or slightly different focus had been used. Her face looks ‘sharper’ than her hair where it falls over her shoulder and her body, or something. It was the first thing I noticed and I can’t ‘unsee’ it, and was surprised no one else had mentioned it.

if it was taken on an iphone then she probably used portrait mode. that blurs the background of the photo and focuses on the person in frame.

I don’t think they would dare to photoshop it after what happened the last time they did that - why would they need to photoshop it anyway?

It’s certainly not ‘bollocks’. I mean, I may be mistaken, but it looks odd to me. I agree that one imagines they’d be ultra-careful after whatever that massive kerfuffle was about some other family photo.

You’re the one being weird here. I have not suggested one single negative thing about a ten year old child who is a total stranger to me.shes hardly responsible if someone has tweaked her photo.
