Happy 10th birthday to Princess Charlotte.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have released an image via Instagram to mark the occasion. Photo taken by Catherine (apparently using an iPhone).

I think she looks like her dad around her mouth, but I think that the three children look very much like Kate’s father.

Ah, that might explain it. I’ve never used it. To me the effect in that photo, as reproduced on this thread (I’ve not seen it otherwise) looks noticeably a little strange, as though her head is in a different focus to her body.

I like it a lot - can't believe she's 10, where does the time go?! Like others here, I'm very glad they've steered her away from 'princess' stereotypes.

She looks like the kind of girl my dd would be mates with. I really hope that’s true - I’d like to think the royal kids are growing up relatively “normal” in spite of the royal lifestyle

Princesses and princes can elegant. Ever heard of the handsome Prince Charming - always pretty and neat in lovely frills.

Not sure what the mum that wore a transparent dress to bag a prince is trying to prove.

I've always thought she was the image of Sarah, Princess Margaret's daughter. But can defo see William in there.

Yes, it seemed unlikely to me too! But perhaps a pp is right and what I’m seeing is just portrait mode. It looks noticeably odd to me.

It looks like camo gear that hunters (like in US) use. I’m sure you could hike with it. Hiking gear tends to be bright.

Hopefully the clothing is nothing to do with hunting. 😔 We always wear brighter colours for hiking, camo isn’t sensible for hiking
