Is there anyone in the public eye more delusional and lacking in self-awareness than Harry?

The Duke of Sussex, 39, sat down for a new interview for ITV's documentary Tabloids on Trial, premiering on Thursday, July 25. In a preview released a day before the airing, Harry discussed his reasons for publicly pursuing lawsuits against publications over allegations of phone hacking and other unlawful acts — a contrast from his brother, Prince William, who reportedly quietly received a "very large sum of money" in a settlement from News Group Newspapers (NGN) in 2020 amid a claimed "secret agreement" with the royals.
ITV's Rebecca Barry asked Prince Harry in the clip, "To what extent do you think your determination to fight the tabloids destroyed the relationship with your family?"
"I think that's certainly a central piece to it," the Duke of Sussex replied. "That's a hard question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press."
"I've made it very clear that this is something that needs to be done. It would be nice if we did it as a family," he continued. "I believe that, again, from a service standpoint and when you're in a public role, that these are the things that we should be doing for the greater good. But I'm doing this for my reasons."

It seems to me a bit of brainwashing has gone on. Meghans made all the sacrifices, and it’s not safe for her and her children in the UK. She’s really done a number on him.

I think it's great if it means a lot of the fawning is kept in one, easily avoided place.
The bit I did see makes me wonder why Harry's having a go at the tabloids - the Daily Mail, in particular, seem to dote on Meghan.
I was really surprised after all the times people pro-RF have been derided as Daily Fail/Heil (quick, nurse - some strapping for my split sides!) readers.

This is the time when the RF vanishes for a month or more - collected at Balmoral or off to their own (or their friends' country estates) or on discreet holidays elsewhere.

So there's a gap in royal gossip. Obvious move, to try to fill it.

Yes, there were headlines in one of the red tops about the pair separating for work duties over the summer with him coming to the UK and her staying in California with the Prince and Princess to concentrate on her business ventures...........
And because she's worried about being booed security.

To be fair, I don't think I'd want to go anywhere I might be booed.
It's clear that Meghan hates the UK and for all his protestations to the contrary, so it seems does Harry. But why torch the place on the way out?
And what the fuck was all that shite about "Granny" looking down and cheering him on to see this fight with the media through to the end?

To me the pair are just coming across as unkind We've got the titles for ourselves and our children - so we don't need Grandad now. ( Actually Harry might need KC if he is coming into a trust fund. ) But How they think being able to get from Heathrow Frogmore Cottage or somewhere ,is fraught with danger - baffles me. Meghan could also come for part of time and they could perhaps spend a little holiday in Balmoral to see Grandad. Both of which they would in places where KC's security would be.

I agree that his MH probably is fragile right now, possibly because he’s isolated. He’s estranged from most of his family and old friends, and he doesn’t have any clear goals or pathways forward. I doubt that he’s made many new friends, because famous people are now concerned that he’ll blab and he in turn is probably paranoid about less famous people. Not a great situation.

Agreed. He has a completely new life with nothing of the old. That must be destabilising.

Even small rituals are gone. He was known to go down the pub with mates- doesn’t drink anymore because meghan thought it wasn’t healthy. But social drinking in your local pub, is a positive and healthy thing.

All his friends from childhood have gone but not only that, his friends were all from aristo families. They know how to keep quiet because it would affect their families standing in society if they leaked info. He’s now in Cali so he really can’t trust anyone. Will will make him even more paranoid. So the cycle continues and his MH gets worse

Also because he is so isolated….he isn’t passing on the ways of the aristos. So for Archie and Lili- they won’t understand that upbring, their culture. Even though they have titles of Prince and Princess. That’s going to be further exacerbated when Archie takes on the Dukedom when he hasn’t been brought up in the UK. I can imagine a hallmark movie scenario where an American Duke has to schooled in the ways of the British upper classes! Ha

Harry also doesn’t have a ‘family seat’, that passes down the family line in the UK. So his legacy will die out because Archie I doubt will take on the title of Duke, if he lives in America and he also won’t have the upbringing where it is paramount that you must have a boy in order to pass on the family name and estate.

So Harry must understand it’s all disappearing before his eyes.

I doubt very much that that’s the case.
