Some serious questions were at last asked by the interviewer - he did a better job in ten minutes than any other has done in 90, but Harry is so brainwashed he somehow manages to bat them away? He really cannot see any wrongdoing on his part.

I am buying the book because I'm seriously interested to hear these 'examples' of leaks.

It's all a bit weird. The section's been reinstated, but you can't post on them OR on the site stuff thread asking where they've gone. MNHQ didn't seem to know where or why, either!!

Waiting to see if this one posts...

Bjarnum · 09/01/2023 21:05

Certainly better than the fawnfest that was Oprah! But he failed to even gently press H - allowing him to evade. For example the issue of him renouncing his titles was not really dealt with at all.

Ticketyboots · 09/01/2023 21:28

He said he has huge amount of compassion for Camilla for being the 3rd person in his parents marriage!

Wauden · 09/01/2023 21:30

I certainly won't be buying the book.

Now Will office is against him - thought it was Camilla’s from AC interview?

The point PH is missing is that if the Camilla, Will or anyone in the RF had been leaking / briefing against him for the past 10 years to “build Camilla’s image” - then it was HMTQ giving the orders - she was the CEO - their was no way that some lower department was doing this without her direction, involvement and sign off. The RF had decided they wanted her as Queen Consort and had to rehabilitate her image. No idea if/why this required briefing against Harry 10 years ago and then starting on Meg when they were already married and her image positive / neutral?

I suspect it would be hard for PH to accept that “grannie” was behind this - same as her “sitting quietly” at the Sandringham summit.

Shes running the show FFS !!!

BethJ62 · 09/01/2023 21:37

Is this the last interview ?

Which seems to be a contradiction from how he described her in the other interview. Didn't seem to have compassion then.

I very much doubt it!

That will depend on whether he needs to revise his truth or not.

I hope so. Sick of their whining now.

Ticketyboots · 09/01/2023 21:43

He’s scheduled tomorrow night for a LIVE interview on The Late Show ….. that will be interesting - especially as ITV / CBS / GMA were filmed BEFORE the leaks and derision.

I wonder how he will handle it.

I certainly won't be buying the book.

I might if it reaches the works or a charity shop!

Interesting, who does the Late Show?

Also interesting that quite lot of the leaked stuff came up in those prerecorded interviews

Ok, I'm in the US, and I don't understand about all these "briefings." I assumed it was someone (Camilla?) was leaking stories about Harry to the press. Is there evidence of this, and if so, how do bad stories about Harry make Camilla look better? Or have I completely misunderstood?

Check1Check2 · 09/01/2023 21:49

Camilla should dress up as a tampon at Charlie’s coronation. Those two deserve each other, awful people.

DogBowlsAreMyWeapon · 09/01/2023 21:51

@steff13 please don’t go around throwing logical questions as though they have a basis. 😉

Have you seen the memes thread?

Puppyseahorse · 09/01/2023 21:52

Oh Lord. It actually was all about the bridesmaid dresses story!!

I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but… as he rightly points out, to react as he has to a story about BRIDESMAID DRESSES is beyond petty.

I mean, it doesn't make sense, right? What is his theory, that people would say, "gosh, Camilla still sucks but at least she's not as bad as Harry?" So weird.

Not since it was a couple of pages, I'll check it out.

onlylarkin · 09/01/2023 21:58

Stephen Colbert does the late show. I am actually surprised his PR team allowed it. But it will give me a chance to see how he does talking in front of an audience.

I was disappointed by 60 minutes. But not because of AC questions. I can't believe they didn't dedicate the entire hour to him. But I guess that gives a good indication of really how unimportant this is in the US? Maybe.

I am going to figure out how to watch the ITV one tonight while I am knitting. I have seen cluos, but want to watch the entire thing before his book pops up on my Kindle tomorrow.

I think the accusation is that say a journalist would contact the palace to verify a story about a family member, e.g. Camilla, the palace would say please don’t print that, here we’ll give you this about Harry instead. But there are no examples of these stories which were allegedly fed to the press, and furthermore Camilla and Charles were long married by the time Meghan came on the scene. To use one of their favourite phrases, it doesn’t make sense. Oh and when pressed the only thing Harry can come up with that the palace didn’t ‘protect’ them from was about a stupid spat over bridesmaids dresses.

Makes you wonder what Camilla was getting up to and what the press had on her was so atrocious when she was in her 60s…….
