So the Royal Family isn’t racist?

That’s what I took from Harry’s recent interview. That they didn’t accuse the royal family of being racist in the Oprah interview?!

I think he said it was unconscious bias rather than racism but I switched over as I just have had enough of it all (I do believe there was racism though)

Meghan & Harry have just accepted a prestigious American award for fighting racism in the royal family. Yet now he claims they’re not racist?

I too was very confused by this.

I can’t remember word for word what he and/or Meghan said about it on the oprah interview, but I’m almost certain they did say they were racist?

if not, they certainly Implied it! By saying your family were concerned about the skin colour of your unborn child, in that context, would surely imply racism?

From what I remember of the Oprah interview, they didn't outright say the RF are racist they just implied it. So that's how they will spin it. 'we didn't say that the press did bla bla bla'

That part was very bizarre. He’s now saying it’s a conversation that takes place in every family when a mixed race baby is about to be born and isn’t racist. And they both love Susan Hussey who also isn’t racist.

And now he’s backtracking?

And if that were the case, why didn’t he put out a statement clarifying, if ‘silence is betrayal’

I think it was a probably innocent conversation about what the baby would look like. My mixed family have them every-time a pregnancy is announced. Will baby look more like mum or dad?
Imagine a baby with dads eyes and mums hair colour etc etc
He probably thought nothing of it at the time

He later recalled it to Meghan, who told him it was racist, and got pissed off

Thats my assumption

Since the Queens death the plan has changed. So they have to adjust the narrative.

It’s interesting though. At the time of the Oprah interview there were people who (and I was one of them) felt that he became a bit awkward when Meghan brought that up - although he certainly didn’t correct her.

We all heard Meghan say ‘that assumption is correct’ when conflating Archie not getting a title with his skin colour.

He is a nasty, bitter man child who used the press to get his own back on his family by relaying a speculative comment made in private on national TV knowing full well what the headlines would be the next day. He is now backtracking - the guy is a complete shit.

If he says it is the media saying the RF is racist and not them, (implying you can’t believe what media says) why did H&M accept an award for fighting racism in the RF.

He now says it is a normal conversation to have but in OW interview he said he couldn’t repeat the conversation, why not if it is a normal conversation to have
