The royal family

To wonder if the allegations Harry has made against his brother might be true?

We put the royal family on a pedestal, however they are a family with potential issues and dysfunction like a lot of families have.

I just find myself wondering if these allegations might have some truth behind them and what that might mean for the future of the royal family.

I also wonder what Dianna would think of this feud between her two boys. I expect she would be very sad…

Of course they are true. British public don't want to hear.

LadyHarmby · 05/01/2023 14:30

I doubt he’d include them if there wasn’t some truth in it. It’s a hell of a thing to make up.

TheShellBeach · 05/01/2023 14:31

@MNHQ please move this to the RF board.

@MNHQ please move this to the RF board.

They are taking their time to move it.

Greatly · 05/01/2023 14:33

So what? They won't be the first or last brothers to have a stupid punch up.

WednesdaysPlaits · 05/01/2023 14:33

Mumsfret1976 · 05/01/2023 14:33

I believe they're true but I don't see the big in a scuffle between brothers. I dont know Harry feels the needs to make it public.

Anisina · 05/01/2023 14:33

There is a Royal board which I've hidden so I don't see a million Harry threads.

Stickytoff · 05/01/2023 14:34

I believe Harry is absolutely telling the truth but I don’t think badly of William either although in this instance his behaviour was absolutely wrong. The family is utterly dysfunctional. Healthy family interactions simply do not happen in the family and Harry has been scapegoated and of course he doesn’t like that. But what is on offer for William and particularly his children is absolutely no picnic either. The link between the press and the royal family is absolutely awful. The intrusion is awful. The giving stories about other members to suppress other stories is horrible. William and his family will have this forever.

Lockheart · 05/01/2023 14:35

You can wonder whatever the hell you like, why do you think that's unreasonable?

IDontCareMatthew · 05/01/2023 14:35

What's been said?

Testina · 05/01/2023 14:35

@pearlearringgirl “also wonder what Dianna would think of this feud between her two boys. I expect she would be very sad…”

Why do you think that?
Surely usual thing is for a mother to be rubbing her hands with glee at the drama of it?

What a ridiculous thing to say 🤣

Testina · 05/01/2023 14:36

@pearlearringgirl “We put the royal family on a pedestal”

No love, we don’t.

pearlearringgirl · 05/01/2023 14:36

I don’t think he would make allegations like that if there wasn’t any truth behind them… I wonder if there will be any response from the palace, or from William himself … If it’s not true surely there would be 🤔

I haven’t been following the William and Harry fallout that closely to be fair but just happened to come across the leaked allegations whilst watching good morning Britain this morning. I knew there was tensions between the brothers but never expected physical violence. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors though.

I don’t think many do put them on a pedestal at all and I think most families have their dramas and fall outs. There’s usually 3 sides to a story and I imagine this is no different and there is some truth in what he is saying but so what? It’s their business and it shouldn’t be played out like this.

Considering this is something that’s actually in the news today I think it’s relevant to general discussion…🤨

And as for Diana, who knows what she would think? she died a long time ago now and she was certainly no angel and perfect mother in the way some like to paint her.

TheGrimSqueakersFlea · 05/01/2023 14:40

It's not unusual for siblings to fight. Two over privileged rich boys having a fight isn't really news worthy. What Diana would think is alway brought to threads like this but Diana is dead nobody knows what Diana would think of the situation. Maybe she would be devastated or maybe she would think her sons are a pair of arrogant nobs. We'll never know

EmilyGilmoresSass · 05/01/2023 14:41

Wouldn't shame myself by wiping my arse on his new book to be honest. It's all its fit for, even at a push.

I disagree I have never as an adult been physically violent to any of my siblings or them to me, I don’t think violence is normal to be fair…

It sounds like Harry didn’t want to see William or hear what he wanted to say
The question is who pushed who first
sometimes “get out “ is accompanied by a push

I think it’s unusual for things to escalate to a push off balance - more likely a scuffle if pushes and someone lost his balance

It sounds like there is some truth but not the whole truth - I find it hard to believe there wasn’t pushing by both

Harry wins because he lost his balance and fell ( yay victim )

There is a huge difference between 'some truth' and 'the whole truth'. I believe there was some sort of physical encounter between the brothers, but we don't know how much Harry was responsible for it as obviously he's going to paint himself as a pure innocent.

And you must not be familiar with the usual royal media strategy if you think silence equates to confirmation. They rarely respond to media stories, and I suspect this will be no different. How would it benefit them to descend to Harry's desperado levels?

TheGrimSqueakersFlea · 05/01/2023 14:51

@pearlearringgirl So if Kev and Adam down the road had a fight it would be all over the news because of how unusual it is? Siblings fight and some families are dysfunctional. Most families don't feel the need to run to the press. This the royal equivalent of selling your story to take a break

Exactly! I wonder how many fights they’ve had growing up over the years as brothers but it’s this particular one that Harry feels the need to make public.

purpledalmation · 05/01/2023 14:52

I think William grabbed his clothes ( not acceptable of course) but harry stumbled back and fell. He doesn't say William hit him just that he fell onto the dog bowl.

What I want to know is what harry said to provoke him. As he's already intimated that William didn't marry for love I think the only thing that would get that reaction would be an insult about kate.

I bet the rude abrasive difficult accusation about Meghan was over staff bullying and one of the reasons William wanted to see h
