Thanks for the new thread catinboots. Useful because I discovered something interesting after the first thread closed. Amongst the text messages disclosed by Jason Knauf was one directly to him from Meghan talking about how she was going to send him photos of her draft letter to her father. She notes in the text “I’m in Toronto”. The date was 22 August 2018.

This is interesting firstly because this was not a trip that was reported on (it wasn’t on the list I posted on the last thread, which came from a paper’s list of all their trips - so make that 11 personal trips, at least). But more interesting because two days earlier Royal reporter Rebecca English had tweeted that the couple would be attending a performance of Hamilton, Meghan’s favourite musical, in London.

Rebecca English’s tweet ended by stating that Meghan was not currently in Canada or LA, and wouldn’t be going there any time soon. This can only be her passing on what she had been told by the Palace. The Palace who wouldn’t lie for Harry & Meghan they way they lied for others, according to Meghan, right?Clearly lying about her whereabouts at that point in time though…

Yes I wondered what she was doing in Toronto after reading that.

Where can all the emails and original documents be read?

Who do we think Senior Royal Family members 1&2 were? HMQ & Charles? Camilla & Charles?

Also why did M send the letter to her dad by fedex to someone who was then going to send it to him!? Surely it just should have been sent to him directly in Mexico?

It’s mentioned by some posters in the old royal threads in S&B. I think some people spotted them on board.

Interesting @Serenster. I had read some rumours that she had made a below the radar trip to Toronto around then, but nothing that would confirm it properly. As you say, it shows the Palace were covering to protect her privacy at that point. Also she must have had her passport.

I think it has been proven that the Palace have at times either lied for or deliberately obfuscate on H&M’s behalf eg announcing Meghan had gone into labour after Archie had been born etc. Good PR and protecting the RF is their job after all.

Isn't a destination wedding when both participants go overseas to get married? If I was living in Italy, and marrying an Italian, that wouldn't be a destination wedding. My parents would just be travelling abroad to attend a wedding

If you google "Meghan Makle presidential ambitions" you will get pages of results. This is just one of them - it's officially denied, but friends briefing the press and biographers say it's welll founded. There are also articles describing how she is networking round the Democratic Party, but they tend not to get much replay in the British media (bit too niche)

Yes, of course it’s just speculation. But it’s something that comes up loads in commentary and coverage of Meghan, both positive and negative. Hence my tongue in cheek comment. The main reason I mentioned it was because the BBC article about the Presidents shows that when you are a VIP you are insulated from several of the day to day tasks and responsibilities that the rest of us have. Like not needing to remember where your passport is, or check it hasn’t expired.
