Play nicely and don’t say anything that will get your post (or the thread) deleted. I’ll start. Archie is cute and it would be lovely to see him more often.

Yup. It's boring trying to be nice... Even Inspector Gadget would struggle with this one.

KatherineParr4 · 10/08/2020 12:49

But Katherine, surely there needs to be some kind of positive discrimination for environmentally friendly gadgets?*

Yes indeed, good point. They should not be plastic or silicone. Only made from sustainable wood. The profits must go to BLM too.

No silicone Shock

Positive discrimination is so passe. Unconscious bias for equality is the new buzz phrase apparently towards kitchen gadgets.

Just like the Cambridge boys, I think Archie actually takes after his maternal grandfather in the photos we have seen so far. So sweet ! Still they change so much at that age, don't they.

plant lives matter!

SunbathingDragon · 10/08/2020 15:52

I could do with a pineapple slicer and corer in my kitchen gadget drawer.

Grinchlywords · 10/08/2020 15:59

I can heartily recommend a potato ricer. Makes the best mash ever!

peachsquish · 10/08/2020 19:47

My favourite gadget (and I'm using the term loosely) is my lakeland toast tongs.

OverUnderSidewaysDown · 10/08/2020 22:00

If Harry does not issue a refutation of the Kate allegations, and offer an apology for the way she has been treated in the book, he is
Dead. To. Me.
That is all.

Apparently Charles has banned all plastic gardening tool handles from Highgrove, so if one is accidentally bought in then the undergardener has to take off the plastic handle and replace it with a wooden one instead.

KatherineParr4 · 10/08/2020 22:34

So what does he do with the plastic once it’s removed? How ridiculous.

Eaumyword · 10/08/2020 22:39

Quite. Isn't that less sustainable than just keeping and using the plastic one. Not that bright...

YouSayWhat · 10/08/2020 22:43

I read about it in the Highgrove book. I will dig it out and see what they do with the rejected plastic. He also collects terracotta plant pots, so if you ever meet him, you know what to do.

Checking in with a nice smile

Bear & woods from the other thread.

Now I have the visual that it wasn’t just a pee.

TMI.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 11/08/2020 14:52

Terracotta plant pots you say.
Now that must make Christmas very easy Grin

YouSayWhat · 11/08/2020 16:55

God, it even looks like Prince Charles...

Nah, I'm not nice enough for this thread. My nasty side is busting to escape.

BottomOfMyPencilCase · 18/08/2020 10:41

Well, this seems to be the thread chosen by MN to survive the cull Grin

SunbathingDragon · 18/08/2020 10:54

Bizarre really since the one deleted was the one that was a continuation of a longer running thread. 🤷🏻‍♀️ No wonder the other forums are so much more popular these days.

It must be the title that appeals to them Hmm

The moderation of these threads is far heavier than the norm.

RoseAndRose · 18/08/2020 10:57

The culling of Harry threads is quite random sometimes

Especially as the 'nasty' thread is by far the most reasonable one! Not sure about current new one of those though - as that's started off with the repeating of a rumour that is OK on the positive thread (posting to deplore something seems to survive) but is deleted as repeating slurs elsewhere.
