Play nicely and don’t say anything that will get your post (or the thread) deleted. I’ll start. Archie is cute and it would be lovely to see him more often.

Hi all, we've deleted some posts that are referring to (and repeating) deleted posts from other threads. Feel free to email us if you have any questions about the moderation of your posts. Hopefully this thread can get back on track now.

Just popping in to make clear that it's actually me on the delete button at the moment I'm afraid. But that's neither here nor there. We moderate according to guidelines, not our own personal whim.
We do say in those guidelines "our mods often make difficult decisions based on context, tone and circumstance - please respect their decisions and treat them civilly" and we felt that there were a few posts here that weren't made in that spirit.
We are trying to let this conversation flow but we will delete posts that break our guidelines, and we don't tolerate agressive or rude behaviour towards any of our moderators. If we have to make too many deletions then, yes, we're afraid we may eventually have to take the thread down or close it to new posts.

We have had reports, LittleBear, which is why I popped on. But now I'm here I will be hanging around for a bit, yes.
HebeMumsnet · 19/08/2020 11:57
LittleBear We felt the posts in question did break guidelines. We've replied to your report to us explaining this in more detail.

Hi all
Just a reminder - pulling apart someone's appearance is not what we would call civil debate. Continuing to do so will end up in the thread being removed, and suspensions.
@LilyMumsnet do you just want people to stop discussing Harry and Meghan? Because I have seen way worse said about other females in the public eye.
Every thread ending up being deleted just seems a tad overkill but if you want the topic to stop being discussed then possibly just best to say it.
Hello
We are happy for users to discuss within talk guidelines. If you have concerns about other posts on the boards, please report them to us - we are a post moderated site, so we rely on reports to let us know what's going on.

Thanks for the reports. We've closed a few accounts for spamming/derailing/flouncing. Hopefully things will get back on track now. And please do continue to report any concerns.
