......... and try to break into the film industry.

It'll be an unlikely success as they'll have to stay awake for long periods while filming goes on.

Well. Unless they decide to make Carry On Sleeping.

@EmpressaurusKitty I assumed they were fake but tulips, narcissus and hyacinth are all very toxic to cats

I hadn’t thought of that, @Breadcat24.

SQUEEEEEEEEE!! New kitties !!! 😍

Welcome MrsToddsShortcut!

As to the flowers it depends on whether the kitties like eating flowers or not, many don't. Lilies are really bad because the pollen drops onto them as they walk past and they lick it off their fur. None of mine have eaten anything that isn't cat food or grass although the cat food part is questionable at times.

Frank has squashed himself into a v small box. At one point Toad wanted to join him but could only fit one paw in so stood like that for a while 🙄

Also, welcome to the new cats 😁

Hello from my beautiful girl (at the back, hiding in the flowers) and her son, Boss-Cat the Kitten, who is a gorgeous & cheeky and loves snuggles at night time. I’ve only had them three months but they are now in charge of everything.

Love them 😻
Congratulations on them choosing you! 😸

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 30/04/2026 18:19

Well, that’s good because otherwise Grumpy would have had to start the new thread again.

Has anyone dealt with sore eyes in their cats?
Linney's look very flaky in the corners.

Or a trail of spam?

That reminds me - I went to a different shop today, 25 miles away, and they had a brand of Spam I'd never seen before, so I bought some.

I am hoping it's horrible, because if it's glorious, how will I obtain supplies?

Welcome @MrsToddsShortcut You're cats are beautiful.

Allergictoironing · 30/04/2026 19:16

Not in cats, but the remedy we used to use with great success with the horses was a used tea bag! Obviously from a tea pot, taken out before the milk went in. Would just wipe gently with the soggy but cold tea bag. I gather it's mostly the anti oxidant, anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties, but it can also be soothing and a gentle way to remove crusty bits.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 30/04/2026 19:21

Hi Allergic.
I remember that my mum and dad used teabags on our eyes when we were children and had styes.
I'm going to give that a go on Linney's. He's got a vet appt coming up anyway (for Solensia).

Ooh, just under two quid a tin.
Bargain.

I take it you invested some of the Grumpy millions in a couple of dozen tins for me. If not, why not.
