......... and try to break into the film industry.

It'll be an unlikely success as they'll have to stay awake for long periods while filming goes on.

Well. Unless they decide to make Carry On Sleeping.

I wonder what that OP meant by Get a Compass.

I mean, in the context of that thread.

That thread is...bizarre.

Poor Frederick, there's nowhere in the house for him to sleep so he's having to sleep on packing paper. He has such a difficult life 🙄

Snowcat, who is as pure as the driven snow, is Not Amused by all these horny male cats and their bed-shagging ways.

Kitty says that young Snowcat has the right idea. Although she strongly recommends getting off your face on catnip which is apparently much more fun.

Just to point out that none of my three boy cats exhibit any of these inappropriate behaviours. I can only put it down to good upbringing 🤣.
I suppose they could just be worried about the looks they'd get from Sybil though.

Pianoaholic · 19/04/2026 09:42

Well, as I constantly say to DH when he expresses his displeasure in Herbie's conduct, 'he had a bad start in life' which we are not responsible for since we took Herbie on aged 2!

But yes, @stormsandsunshine girl cats tend to be more civilised. At least, my old cat was.

RumNotRun · 19/04/2026 12:35

Lex disapproves of all the naughty shenanigans and would never have sexy time with anything. He is very sleepy today and being extra cute and allowing lots of attention, I even got to give him belly scritches!

Lucky Lex!

Kitty’s flat out on her balcony.

Breadcat24 · 19/04/2026 17:24

I am relieved that I have got a female after the humping thing. But I do think they are more vocal - getting vwowwll lots of time a day

stormsandsunshine · 20/04/2026 16:31

Snowcat is certainly vocal. During the day I find this polite and friendly, but it is less nice when she decides to shout at me from the landing at 2am just to tell me she’s there and would like to be acknowledged.

Stripey was brave enough to go out into the patio today which is a big step forward for her.

Finlay looks exhausted.
Mind you, all cats manage to look exhausted when they're actually just asleep, in-between stuffing themselves and wandering around outside, menacing their local wildlife.

Sorry @JaceLancs what has attracted my attention the most is the cat getting lost in Yellowstone Park and walking 900 miles but no other details given!

Yes, same here.
Did he find his owners?
Was he even looking for them?

Agatha has managed to walk about 20m today, between her food bowl and various beds. Oh, and I assume she went a bit further for a loo break at some point. She's currently curled up on my lap asleep. I'm about to turf her off to go to bed. She will not be happy.

Theunamedcat · 20/04/2026 22:33

Charlie's diet is still working but he is getting up to shenanigans now he has toned up a little again with the climbing up onto the doorframe this time he got stuck and had to be rescued

Does everyone remember Mog the Forgetful Cat?

We have a real life version. It turns out Snowcat (who wasn’t interested in going out all winter) has forgotten that she has a catflap.

She got shut in the garden and just sat by the patio doors miaowing sadly, even when I stuck my head out the door round the side that the car flap is in and called to her. I had to carry her round and post her through the flap.

She does have a loud miaow so she may be able to catch a burglar like Mog and get a medal.

JaceLancs · 20/04/2026 22:39

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne @Pudmyboy I wish I knew too! Tractive are taunting us……..

JaceLancs · 20/04/2026 22:43

My DC loved Mog we had a stuffed one which DS took everywhere
When they were small we had a female tabby called Norton (yes after the motorcycle) and a stray ginger Tom without a tail who moved in and we didn’t have the heart to refuse
He was soft as butter and allowed DC to dress him and push him around in a toy pram ❤️

Pianoaholic · 20/04/2026 23:13

I loved those Mog books and used to read them to the DC.
My old cat looked quite like Mog.

Early on when we had Herbie, he would lose all ability to get through his catflap when he could see someone around as he knew we would come and let him in!

AlwaysRightISwear · 21/04/2026 19:34

Of course! Why trouble yourself when a slave is handy.

ShoutyCatSlave · 21/04/2026 19:47

Agatha is already fed up with the indignity of having to walk through the metal-link fly screen when the door is open. I have to tie it out of the way when the door is closed - she kept taking strands of it through the cat flap and "jamming" it to only open out. She had to cry piteously for seconds to come in.....

Why do I never get to sit opposite cats on trains?

I don’t know about your lot Grumpy & I know how well travelled Gizmo is, but I suspect Kitty would hate a train ride.
