Just sneaked another look at the derp face - melting here.

She is actually very sweet in a naughty way - the Belly is Off Limits but she never scratches or bites. Instead, she bats with her little paws and makes offended 'eep eep' noises.

Aah, you've all cheered me up. Am having a crap day, but a lovely lady on the till at Tesco showed me a pic of her 2 cats snuggled up while I was paying for my cat food shopping.

We may be having the start of turf wars at Allergic Towers. Saw out of the corner of my eye what I thought was Boycat settling into his favorite place for cuddles so sat next to the amorphous black blob without looking & started to stroke - immediately realised that Girlcat had sat in HIS spot (different fur texture). However she stayed there enjoying belly & head rubs for ages.

In the meanwhile Boycat came along, saw her getting "his" fusses in "his" seat, and promptly settled into "her" spot on the back of the sofa, glaring all the time.

The bed time zoomies seemed a little more intense than usual, and went on a bit longer than usual after the lights went out!

Bedroom wndowsill cats this morning. Unusual for us to have three sharing it.

There is a lake (gravel extraction from years ago) behind the trees - but we can't see it for the trees in the way 🤣

The river is at the bottom of the back garden. The lake is in the woody bit opposite the front.
The cats tend to disappear into the wooded bit - lots of wildlife to murder in there 😳

I should probably add, in case anyone has the idea that I live on some vast rural estate, that I don't 🤣.
Our road only has houses on one side. At the front we overlook a large undeveloped gravel pit area/nature reserve on the other side of the road.

There’s filled in gravel pits near us too, the wildlife love it.

It's all about comparison - we are opposite an island so only have a backwater mooring (which only fits a small boat). Main river properties on the street or island definitely look down on us as the plebs 🤣.
