Went out last night for 2 hours, before I went I fed the kittens and shut them in the living room.

I came home and looked for them, they're nowhere.

The living room door was still shut, but they were nowhere to be seen!

In my living room is a corner sofa. One chair, a TV and 2 Toy boxes and a fireplace. They aren't in any of them!!!

They are 4 orphaned/ dumped 6 week old kittens! How on earth have they vanished???? Where are they???

I've sat in there in the quiet and listened. No scratching. Now I've put food down and shut the door again hoping they'll eat then I'll know they're alive Sad but where on earth could they be!

Aw so glad it's worked out well what a lovely caring woman you are! Thanks

Hurr1cane · 29/09/2014 21:55

I'm not grown up yet! I'm only 26, I don't plan to be a grown up until I'm 60!

Apparently pepper is purring now Smile I have a feeling she'll be fine without the wicked witch of the chimney dragging her out and cleaning all her lovely soot off her.

Aw bless little pepper!

Jux, get one! They are totally amazing. Though they should come with a warning like Pringles 'once you pop you just can't stop', I think Hemingway said "one cat just leads to another" replace cat with Raggie and I've found that's the case! I'm on 2 and wanting a 3rd but have settled for a human baby instead for the moment! Grin however my friend fell in love with mine so much she has reserved their brother, you just can't get away from that Raggie charm! puts hand over mouth to stop burbling

I completely agree with you Smoke, just the other day we were back looking at ragdoll kittens to keep our lovely 5yr old company.
But she's such a timid little person hog we decided she'd probably much prefer to be an 'only cat' than have to share any attention. So we've put our search on hold... for now.

Jux · 30/09/2014 09:04

Smoke, we have 3 cats already and Delilah is a bit neurotic and doesn't need the stress of another. We can't afford to feed/vet/deflea another Sad

Hurr1cane, I have 30 years on you! Rapidly approaching 60. I expect to grow up when I'm 70ish, but when I was a teen I thought 30 was the magic number where you immediately became a frump pushing a pram Grin.

Our next cat could be a ragdoll though......

Hurr1cane · 30/09/2014 11:02

Haha I am more grown up than my 40 year old fella, but I think the best parents are never proper grown ups. Nothing better than climbing trees and swinging on swings and splashing in puddles with your children Smile

Hi everyone! I've received photos of 3 of the kittens in their new homes! They are all very happy it seems! I am so pleased! Definitely the right decision to let them go a little sooner than I would have first wanted to. They all clearly needed some 1:1 time and have suddenly become happy cats instead of a little gang of feral warriors! Grin

So gorgeous!

Squeee! Is the tabby snuggled up to a new cat? Shock. Our old girl would eat a new kitten.

Hurr1cane · 30/09/2014 13:25

Yes. That tabby is! All mine apart from ragdoll hated my own feral kitten when she was let out into the house!

Maybe boy cats are better with kittens than female ones?

Too cute! I wish I knew for a fact that if we got a kitten our two resident cats won't hate him, but I just don't know...

wantacatplease · 30/09/2014 14:17

Which kitten is snuggled up with the tabby? Surely not naughty Pepper!

Hurr1cane · 30/09/2014 14:19

Oh two of mine are very much solitary cats, but they manage to live in a foursome quite comfortably, they just rudely ignore each other and occasionally hiss at ragdoll and feral kitten if either of them attempt at playing with them.

Ragdoll and feral love each other to bits though. It stopped ragdoll bothering the other cats when we got her. They're quite happy in their two some and the other two have their 'spots' which no other cat dare enter.

No wantacat that's Delilah snuggled up! Pepper is the one sat on a little girls knew playing with string!! ShockShockShock

She quite liked DS though. Maybe she's a children's cat?

Sorry just read the other update. Yes, she must be a children's cat! I'm so glad they're all well and happy.

RustyParker · 30/09/2014 21:44

Lovely update on Delilah's little brother and sisters.

Delilah is as happy as Larry - she's taken over the place and Samson is her willing servant Grin They are too cute together, just bonded straight away so we've been really lucky.

You've done amazingly well with the kittens Hurr1cane Delilah started using her litter tray no problem and has a brilliant appetite. They were so lucky to have you.

It was lovely to meet you and your DS (hope he left you some chocolates!). Will definitely keep you updated with Delilah's progress Thanks

sunshineday · 01/10/2014 09:26

Pepper has settled down very well she will now come out of hiding to watch us and will play.
I'm Keeping her in a xlarge dog crate with the door open so she has a safe place with her food, litter tray and toys and she is starting to leave it and explore the room around her but I close it at night so she can't find anywhere like a chimney Smile to get herself stuck!

wantacatplease · 01/10/2014 09:42

Aww, really glad she's settling in!
