Went out last night for 2 hours, before I went I fed the kittens and shut them in the living room.

I came home and looked for them, they're nowhere.

The living room door was still shut, but they were nowhere to be seen!

In my living room is a corner sofa. One chair, a TV and 2 Toy boxes and a fireplace. They aren't in any of them!!!

They are 4 orphaned/ dumped 6 week old kittens! How on earth have they vanished???? Where are they???

I've sat in there in the quiet and listened. No scratching. Now I've put food down and shut the door again hoping they'll eat then I'll know they're alive Sad but where on earth could they be!

So glad you found them-have been refreshing all day!!
Can you put some nice smelly food down-sardines??

OwlCapone · 27/09/2014 17:07

mmmm... kitten pie with a soot garnish :)

Fairyfellowsmasterstroke · 27/09/2014 17:08

Snorting with laughter at the kittens snuggling up on a pile of Tena Pads!!!

Hurr1cane · 27/09/2014 17:09

They have smelly food down but aren't coming. They must be scared of the noises the other two made Sad

If the other two are anything like my little rascal dreamies work everytime are getting her out of hiding. Those little pie fillings are adorable!!

ConcreteElephant · 27/09/2014 17:25

So glad to hear you at least have 2 of the little monkeys :)

They've put you through the ringer haven't they? Enjoy your pot noodle and rum!

The other 2 will come out - they'll get hungry.

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 27/09/2014 17:36

So pleased that Sooty and Sweep have appeared Grin

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Hurr1cane · 27/09/2014 17:41

Black and white girl just came down but I missed her by a hair. Tabby 2 hasn't shown her face yet Sad

Hooray you at least know where they are! The two you've shown pics of adorable. How annoying that you now have to keep sentry by the fire place. I wonder if you can construct a one way flap with a bit of cardboard so that it's hard for them to get back into the fireplace - giving you more time to stop them getting back in?

smokeandglitter · 27/09/2014 17:59

X posted! Oh thank goodness!

ConcreteElephant · 27/09/2014 18:04

Oh the shame! I meant the 'wringer' not the 'ringer'... Too overcome with excitement from this thread to get my idioms right.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 27/09/2014 18:04

I bloody knew it. When you said 'small hole' I thought yep, kitten sized. Grin

So glad you found them. Hope you get hold of the other two.

Hurr1cane · 27/09/2014 18:44

Well DS is back so I have to give up the wait and see to him now. I'll have to continue tomorrow when he goes swimming. This is a right pain.

I haven't actually seen the nervous tabby at all Sad

A local cat rescue might have a trap you could borrow, at least then you could leave it out while you're sleeping. It might be worth keeping the nervous one in a confined space, like a crate or small bathroom, for a while when you do catch her so you can handle her a lot. Kittens that age will come round quite quickly with enough fuss.

Hurr1cane · 27/09/2014 19:49

Thanks I'm going to try cats protection again in the morning. I've been trying to get hold of them all week though.

That's annoying, local vets might know of other options, some areas have people that catch and spay feral cats who might have a trap to loan.

Hurr1cane · 27/09/2014 20:36

Well that's tabby 1 'Delilah' off to her new forever home tonight. So that's one less that I have to worry about finding. She's gone to a lovely home :)

Cats protection have got back to me via text and said it might be a good idea if they trap them. I said yes please!

When ours were 9/52 they completely vanished from the kitchen/breakfast room & were missing for a couple of hours. I started to worry that they'd somehow got onto the unit & out through the open window - much too high for them though.

Eventually they emerged from behind the stereo, where there was a little space in the back of the machine that we'd never noticed before! Phew! Grin

spiderlight · 27/09/2014 22:17

I've been out all day with no wi-fi access and this thread is the first thing I've checked since getting in! So glad you've found them and caught two of them. Hope Delilah has a lovely lovely life ahead of her.

RustyParker · 27/09/2014 22:34

Delilah is settling in brilliantly!

She's been exploring and Samson seems quite taken with her - fingers crossed the peace lasts but I am optimistic!

You've done such a wonderful job with Delilah and the kittens (sounds like a band!) Thank you Thanks

Will email you a couple of photos in the new few days..

Hope CPL manage to catch the other little monkeys

Scarletohello · 27/09/2014 23:11

Aw OP I've read both your threads about the 4 kittens and I just wanted to say what a brilliant job you have done and what a lovely, caring person you sound like. Hope you have a peaceful nights sleep after all the trauma. Flowers to you! Xxx

scurryfunge · 27/09/2014 23:28

Just got in from work...glad you have located them.

ChippingInLatteLover · 27/09/2014 23:37

Grin Little Buggers Grin

They are both very cute!!

Sorry they ruined your 'sleep' night though :( That's really crap in your situation.x

Hurr1cane · 28/09/2014 04:29

Got another. Just one left! The other tabby that's scared of life. This one will be harder
