Help! The kittens have disappeared!!!

Went out last night for 2 hours, before I went I fed the kittens and shut them in the living room.

I came home and looked for them, they're nowhere.

The living room door was still shut, but they were nowhere to be seen!

In my living room is a corner sofa. One chair, a TV and 2 Toy boxes and a fireplace. They aren't in any of them!!!

They are 4 orphaned/ dumped 6 week old kittens! How on earth have they vanished???? Where are they???

I've sat in there in the quiet and listened. No scratching. Now I've put food down and shut the door again hoping they'll eat then I'll know they're alive but where on earth could they be!

Oh dear...c'mon, Pepper.

No sign of pepper she's not scratching or anything yet. my fella came back to mine from work at 4am and sat downstairs in the quiet listening while I got some sleep and didn't hear anything.

He's getting some sleep now while DS is up and we are going to try later

She will come when she's hungry.

I'm sure she will come out soon to look for the others.

Completely off thread, but, my cat is called Delilah too!

Dumpy she's gorgeous! My very best cat growing up looked just like her. We called her Honey.

I hope you get somewhere with Pepper today. She would come out when she gets cold or hungry, surely.

It's ok, there isn't much meat on her yet. I'll fatten her up first.

We can't take the fire apart the gas like is stopping it

Could you put caught kitten in enclosed box near hole entrance so chimney kitten it can hear munching and contented noises?

if remaining kitten is scared, alone and in the dark, it still might help to put a dim lamp through the hole. Maybe kitten is stuck on a ledge and can't see how to get down. Perhaps put a sardine on the lip of the hole as well.

I'll try all those soon but only one caught kitten left and he's going soon as well. I can't risk the landlady inspection in two weeks with kittens in the chimney! I don't think she's too impressed with my large volume of cats as it is...

Pepper has been out and eaten while we were out today so she can get out, it's just a case of waiting for her and hoping her lovely new owner is patient.

I keep refreshing for news.
Naughty Pepper, I'm sure she'll be OK, but she's certainly giving you the run around.
