The trailer has just been released and I can’t wait!

It’s probably my favourite programme atm so it’s a shame it’s ending but I’d rather that than it getting repetitive and dragged out.

I wanted one more series to resolve so many qs or at least give some actors more time
Rose
The dead waiter
Shiv's baby
How Gerri gets her revenge
What happened to Rhea
Need more of Caroline
Lukas' blood bricks real or not?

Doesn't seem all these will be resolved
I dont think Tom or Roman will die. Too soap opera ish.

tribpot · 19/05/2023 16:55

I'd like to see more of the post-Logan era, beyond just these moments of utter chaos in the immediate aftermath.

On their wedding night, Shiv revealed to her bridegroom that she wanted flexibility not monogamy, a truth grenade that detonated in his honeymoony face.
What a load of horseshit. What she did to Tom on their wedding night was appalling! As much as Tom is a toadying little shit you can't make wedding vows with someone and then tell them that very same night that you want to fuck other people. That's not some magnificent feminist statement, it's just being an arsehole.

tribpot · 20/05/2023 08:36

I think the writer is right in one sense - Shiv has tested Tom on purpose to see what he's prepared to put up with in order to be in her orbit and have access to her conferred wealth and status. I do think the 'let's shag other people' thing was an expression of that.

However, the article does seem extraordinarily misguided - and fails to mention Shiv's ultimate betrayal of women, when she went along with the cruise coverup.

Another spectacular episode.

Brutal.

Brutal …

Netaporter · 22/05/2023 09:14

I think this was the best episode since episode 3. So much content to unpack. Loved every second.

See you all after 10.30 to discuss specifics!

It is a 90min episode with ads…. 😉

tribpot · 22/05/2023 09:21

It is always noticeable when Jesse Armstrong has written and Mark Mylod directs. Some interesting notes in the Inside the Episode on how they shot this one and the podcast is off to flier with the first guest not pulling any punches.

Mydoghealsmyheart · 22/05/2023 09:44

One of the best episodes out of the entire show. I cannot wait until after 10.30pm to see what everyone thinks. Enjoy…..it’s riveting.

betsyannegrey · 22/05/2023 11:16

Argh so tempted to watch it, but DH is at work and I can't watch it without him!

tribpot · 22/05/2023 11:21

Be strong @betsyannegrey - it's definitely one that can be watched twice in quick succession (pun intended) but it's worth waiting to savour it!

Netaporter · 22/05/2023 11:34

@betsyannegrey i pretend I haven’t watched it yet and sit through it again with DH knowing that if I have a glass of wine at 9, I won’t get confused with the dialogue as I’ve already deciphered it in the morning. It’s the little things that keep our marriage strong 😉😂

TorviShieldMaiden · 22/05/2023 11:44

It was sooo good. Might watch it again this afternoon.

tribpot · 22/05/2023 11:45

I wanted to watch it again but have finally turned on my work PC and discovered I am meant to be working on a bid today that needs to be in .. tomorrow morning. Oops.

2023usernameNew · 22/05/2023 11:56

Can’t wait to watch tonight.

Am I the only one that terrorises their child on Mondays nights?

‘you can’t come and talk to us for an hour unless it’s extremely urgent’

No, you are not alone 😄

franke · 22/05/2023 12:50

Brilliant episode and brilliant podcast too - best so far.

XelaM · 22/05/2023 13:20

Wow.

I know Kendall's acting is always superb, but he was on fire in this episode!

Figgygal · 22/05/2023 13:34

Dear God how will it end?
Not a spoiler to ask what is shiv up to? Seriously I don't understand what she's trying to achieve with matt son

SmartHome · 22/05/2023 13:41

Shes just trying to get one over on her brothers and fuck her dad for always choosing them and not takingher seriously as a sucessor, surely?

XelaM · 22/05/2023 13:50

Her two brothers took over as co-CEOs, basically screwing her over, even though prior to that she supported them as the trio against their dad. She doesn't have any official position or say in Waystar (as far as I know) so her brothers have taken over leaving her out. She has been trying to secure her own future in the company by getting into bed (figuratively of course) with Mattson. Plus, she likes the deal as it will make her even richer than she is now.

XelaM · 22/05/2023 13:52

Plus, I think she thinks her brothers are completely incompetent (and she considers herself to be the smart one).

Almahart · 22/05/2023 16:51

Wow. I got up early to watch it before work. What an incredible episode.

MayIDestroyYou · 22/05/2023 16:58

Oh? Hadn’t realised I was quoting anyone! But then, I wasn’t the biggest Fleabag fan.
