Are we really on a new thread already! Only seems like 5 minutes since the last one began.

Sarah is still in prison/on remand, (for killing Theo,) and is toughening up in there now, hanging onto snooker balls in a sock to hit someone with! One of the prisoners in there has been threatening her and her family if Sarah doesn't get Kit to help her son who is in trouble. (But Sarah has dumped Kit!)

Ma Driscoll has been getting jiggy with Brian! Ollie is in trouble for having a go at Gary's son who appeared to be assaulting Christina when she was drunk on the floor.

Tim reconnected with a cousin he hadn't seen for several decades, (Richie) who went on to kill his wife, and now Tim and Sally are looking after his daughter, and Lou and Mick's girls are back with Tim and Sally too!

We haven't seen much of Debbie lately - or Summer, which is a shame, but plenty of mardy Todd who hates the world right now.

Bernie's aunt has just turned up in the form of glamourous actress Frances Barber, and has only a few weeks to live. So she is hoping Todd can help her with a Dolly Parton themed funeral. R.I.P lovely Dolly! ❤

Good episode, all focussed on impact of adult/older children (eg Kit, Brodie, Lucy, George (father like to Todd), mention of Daisy) along with loneliness of not having those children to worry about (eg Kirk, Mary, Glenda etc.)

Yeah, I thought it was a good episode too last night.

There was a nice scene with Lucy and Tim, I think that was the first time she has actually had a conversation with someone. They should have had more of that and less shouting before the predictable reveal that she killed her mum.

It makes me laugh that we now have Sal talking about 'the girls' being upstairs after they have been on sleepovers, holidays etc

That was a nice scene I agree. Also laughed about Sally going on about 'the girls' seeing as they're hardly ever there. 😆

I have a dozen cup cakes that a neighbour gave me for watering all her plants while she was away for a week, (she came back the day before yesterday.) I think I'll award myself one every time Sally says 'the girls.' 😆

Poor Lucy, never one of the girls

Me too. 😀

I like Sally & Tim. I’d definitely miss those too if they ever left.

so what’s going on with Crissy I wonder?
she looked very thoughtful ( sad even ) when George was talking children and wondering what it would have been like if he’d had any.

Yeah, Sally and Tim better not leave! Hmm Grin

I am still annoyed about Gail leaving, lol, but I know Helen Worth is in her 70s and had been in the role for 40 years, and probably wanted to retire. She wasn't like Toyah (Georgia Taylor,) and Tracy (Kate Ward,) and Peter (Chris Gascoigne) and a few others (who have been in it since the 1980s, 1990s or early noughties,) who have popped off for a long spell (several years or more) and come back once or twice. She never had a particularly long break, as far as I can remember...

That's why I wondered if she was pregnant. I didn't know she's meant to be 55.

Well the actress who plays Christina (Amy Robbins) is 55, born 1971, and her daughter (Daisy) played by Charlotte Jordan, was born in 1994, so was in her late 20s/early 30s when she was in Corrie. And I think the character of Daisy was around the same age as the actress who played her...

So I'm guessing that the 2 actresses are playing characters who are roughly the same age as their actual age.

Are we going to find out that Christina had another baby that she put up for adoption?

That baby is going to turn out to be Lucy and we will find out that Lucy's mum (that she killed) and Dad are actually her adoptive parents and not her real parents but she doesn't know?

This is Corrie, anything is possible 😂

Have you thought about applying for a screenwriter job for soap operas? Grin

Maybe Chrissy has another child out there somewhere? I know we've already had that storyline with Bernie, and a variation of it with Debbie, but that rarely stops the writers.

Out there somewhere will usually mean in the street or thereabouts

Marco?

I agree. They do like to recycle storylines! 🙄

Why all the cooing over Todd and James?

Todd is in his 40s and James in his 20s, not that odd but hardly an obvious couple

I laughed at all the "can't two gay men be mates"

Not on Corrie, unless one of them is on Sean

Yeah, it's bound to be someone already in the street, even if they've only been in it for a month or two.

Edited

Yeah, I wouldn't have put Todd and James together either. I don't know why the writers are so keen to shove Todd into a relationship so soon after Theo. He needs a break from relationships for at least a year. If I had ended up with a man like Theo, it would have put me off men for life I think! 😬

Kirk got two filler roles last night

More than he has had in years

Eva should not be encouraging Susie to get into showbiz

LOL true. I do dislike how they portray Kirk as a bumbling idiot who doesn't know his arse from his elbow though. He is just so daft and idiotic that it gets annoying. I wouldn't honestly miss him if he went. Like I wouldn't miss Sean to be honest.

I do agree with this. I quite Susie, but I hope we're not going to be subjected to her singing, dancing, and performing during every episode now. Confused

He was never the brightest but that wasn't always usually the butt of every joke.

It has been on repeat now for years.

He makes Benny from Crossroads look like Sir Laurence Olivier at his finest.

I would like to see them at least try and give his character a re-boot beyond the village idiot stuff, give him proper scenes with Ty and Ches who are his mates

I don't think so. I think Beth was his last girlfriend/partner...
