David Mitchell reprises his role as John 'Ludwig' Taylor, the reclusive puzzle-setter thrown into the world of policing after his identical twin brother James, a detective chief inspector, vanished without explanation.

Season one saw James go missing, which led to his twin brother pretending to be him as he infiltrated the local police station to investigate, and he ended up helping to solve other cases

OMG! What an immensely satisfying finale. Absolutely love that they have their own secret team at Gareth's offices, just like the Avengers! 😃

Definitely set up nicely for series 3. Kemper and Radley were so so smug. Their downfall will be magnificent now all the goodies have teamed up as one big team. Very pleased Russell and Carol are goodies.

I don't actually care if they never find James now 😂

I wondered why they're weren't caught on the camera too!

I didn't like Lucy revealing all on the phone though, just too obviously playing for laughs, a bit slapstick-like in a way. The 'dancing' at the white board was going that way a bit too, but that did kind of make me smile.

Wonder how long the pretense of the MI5 agent will be kept up?

I was quite grateful for the summary at the end, though still a bit unclear about Kemper's role in it all in terms of actually causing the deaths.

How many episodes is the Christmas special? Just one? I'm hoping for at least two, or a longer one if it's just one.

I don't remember him even being on Celebrity Traitors! When did he leave? I need to rewatch that now that I know who a couple more of the people are.

(I don't know very many of the upcoming series, either, maybe even fewer than the first one. But looking forward to it anyway)

oh gosh, he does look kind of familiar now in that photo, but I really didn't remember him in it at all!! I think I only sorted out who everyone was nearer the end, as there were a lot of early ones who left when I hadn't really understood what was going on yet.

I also found it very heartwarming that when we first met John he was a recluse who had no-one and didn't like people. Even his brother and childhood best friend seemed to be kept at arms length. Now John has a whole extended family around him that like, love and respect him.

Was told today by a friend that they have filming behinf the big church in Ham near Richmond.

That was a very satisfying episode. Very satisfying indeed. MI5 brilliant. Don’t know long they can keep that up for though. I hope some resolution in Christmas special but not completely.

Nothing more has happened with missing James and now John has solved the 10yr murders why isn’t James coming back

Well he hasn't really solved them as Joanne Kemper is still at large so presumably too dangerous for James to come back. Bringing down Kemper will presumably be the premise of series 3.

Also, I think John and his super team are all in danger now. Kemper will want them dealt with once she finds out they are out to get her.

And there are 3? more murders they weren't aware of.

I think James will either appear when the BBC decides to finish all the series and he'll be in the final one OR we'll never see him and Lucy will end up with Mark Bonnar .... hopefully!
