David Mitchell reprises his role as John 'Ludwig' Taylor, the reclusive puzzle-setter thrown into the world of policing after his identical twin brother James, a detective chief inspector, vanished without explanation.

Season one saw James go missing, which led to his twin brother pretending to be him as he infiltrated the local police station to investigate, and he ended up helping to solve other cases

Love David Mitchell. I watched series 1, feels like forever ago. A may have to have a rewatch before series 2.

I’ve just finished rewatching the first series so I’m up to speed for the second series. Loved the first one but the only thing that annoyed me was the blue colour that was prominent throughout the episodes including Lucy’s eyes.

I don’t like him as he is a smug woke luvvie - unreadable book on ‘unruly’ history testifies, and I find ‘Lucy’ irritating and wish she wasn’t in the second series, but do love the series and will watch. I don’t need to like the actor to enjoy his acting.

I really like David Mitchell and I even read Unruly, but I found this utter rubbish I’m afraid. I tried more than once because everyone else seems to love it but I just don’t get its appeal.

It’s an easy watch - but basically whichever minor character has any lines (or has been in a previous soap etc) - they’re the murderer. Once you’ve spotted that, it’s like
colouring by numbers. It’s formulaic.

I couldn’t get on with Unruly either but I like Mitchell as a comedian / panellist and his autobiography was good.

Just rewatched the first series in preparation! Really looking forward to this🙂

Just finished binge watching series 1 ready for Thursday. It was even more brilliant than I remembered. All the little one liners from all the characters that I possibly missed first time round as I was too busy trying to solve the murders 😂 and the really tender moments too like Henry being like his uncle and the four leaf clover. Fantastic casting all round.

I am so excited for s2. I’m hoping that they put all episodes straight away so I can binge them David Mitchell has said he would love to carry on making this series and S3 has already been commissioned I believe so 🤞🏼 it’s as good as we are hoping. Though I have already decided I will love it
