Interesting convo in cab office, I wonder if seed has now been planted in Tim’s mind that he was also victim of abuse.

I'd completely forgotten about Tim's older woman, who seems to have disappeared now.

And how big is George compared to Todd. Never noticed before

Empress13 · 26/03/2026 21:53

When did Tyrone ditch the wheelchair ?

So Bernie has got barmy Mal to backtrack on the Dev story, at least we didn’t have to suffer a Phelan-Anna scenario. A lot of the current storylines feel really choppy, start to go in one way, divert another way, never really get anywhere.

Sam is becoming paranoid, so he’s going to look like an unreliable witness. I loved Hope’s reaction. She is developing into a female David.

At last Theo is unmasked. George was lovely, but he must realise Theo will monitor Todd’s phone and he shouldn’t send that type of message, lovely as it was.

Sam will end up having some sort of breakdown thanks to Hope.

SabreIsMyFave · 26/03/2026 21:10

Yes, exactly @JewelleryCat ! Theo bursting out laughing like it was a joke, or just 'bants' was ridiculous. George sees right through him!

I wonder if Daniel had an agreement with Bernie for her to pretend to ring room service, so she could leave the phone receiver off, and he could hear her, and see if she was safe? Or did he just see her come into the hotel, and follow her to the room to make sure she was OK?

Imagine being so bloody stupid as to let some random look after your baby for 4 hours, with no checks or references or ANYthing? (Carla allowing Jodie to look after Rob's baby.......) Daft!

Do you mean Ryan?

Todd did look tiny. George is apparently 6ft 4 though. And fairly large all round.

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 26/03/2026 22:10

How long are Carla and Swain supposed to be minding the baby for? Did the granny actually tell them or just say here ya go. Back whenever! And why haven’t they arranged proper childcare instead of arguing every day about who has to go to work or not.

SabreIsMyFave · 26/03/2026 22:10

YES, Ryan! NOT DANIEL!

That's not the first time I have got those 2 mixed up! 😆

Thank you @Empress13 Smile

Bit of a silly storyline isn't it?

Yes, the baby story is nuts. And as if Carla would accept the word of a virtual stranger that she has a DBS certificate, just because she's recently come to live next door. At least Swain raised a tiny bit of an eyebrow there. Possibly the finest bit of police work she's ever done.

thenightsky · 26/03/2026 22:56

Empress13 · 26/03/2026 21:53

When did Tyrone ditch the wheelchair ?

Yes, that was my thought as soon as I saw him, strolling around like he's never had a thing wrong. Does this mean that Kev can abandon his breakdown as Ty is back at work?

the80sweregreat · 27/03/2026 07:17

Jodie spreads herself thin doesn’t she! When she isn’t trying it on with David and meeting up with mystery school girls, she is taking David out for walks and passing her self off as a Norland nanny type for Carla! What became of her trinket box David’s girl found that time ? ( don’t know her name ?)

Shellingbynight · 27/03/2026 08:19

David's girl is Lily. The box is still hidden somewhere. Probably still under the sofa!

It does look as if Jodie was a nanny (hence mystery schoolgirl). But Carla has shedloads of money so why are they not arranging proper childcare for her rather than fobbing her off on every passing stranger.

Lorrymum · 27/03/2026 08:25

I suspect Swain might check Jodie's credentials and hopefully send her on her merry way.
Ty has made an unbelievable and miraculous recovery. He didn't even limp as he walked away from the now paranoid Sam.

the80sweregreat · 27/03/2026 08:33

Kit told Shona that Jodie was in danger ages ago ( before Christmas?) but that appears to have been forgotten. At least Lisa didn’t buy into her Mary poppins act.

Shellingbynight · 27/03/2026 08:36

Jodie talked her way out of the 'danger' thing to Shona, by saying she was running away from an abusive ex. But we still don't know why she was tied up in a van. By the time we do find out no one will care!

the80sweregreat · 27/03/2026 08:46

Oh yes, Shona went along with that explanation didn’t she. Much too worried about Harper to dig deeper

Oh gosh yeah! I had totally forgotten about Jodie coming out of that van, after being tied up. Shock Are they ever going to continue that story/explain it, or just leave us hanging (like they do with many others?! Like the little girl in the park with Jodie?)

When did Tyrone ditch the wheelchair ?

Oh yeah, that passed me by too! When did he suddenly start walking? Confused

And is Carl EVER going to be made to answer to knocking him over?!

Puppet on a String! Very arty.
I did like the awful registrar. Surely a marriage would be void if one person arrived blindfolded and didn't know it was happening? The awful registrar didn't seem nonplussed.

That bit didn’t make sense to me either, surely the registrar should have taken him to one side to check he was happy to go ahead? I appreciate that he would have originally signed marriage papers etc, but wouldn’t alarm bells have been going off that this wedding had been cancelled, as otherwise why bother blindfolding someone who knows where they’re going?!

I know it’s a soap, I know I’m overthinking it, but that staggered me!

Shellingbynight · 27/03/2026 09:36

@familyissues12345 it hadn't been cancelled, Theo was supposed to cancel it but he didn't.

The whole thing was ridiculous though, with everyone in the room deciding to interpret Todd's shock as 'pleasant surprise'.

As George said, that wasn't a wedding it was a kidnapping.

familyissues12345 · 27/03/2026 09:39

@Shellingbynight, that’s my point though, why did the registrar not question why Todd arrived somewhere he wasn’t expecting to be? That would make me think that Todd had possibly asked for it to be cancelled and Theo hadn’t done it. Otherwise, surely if he was expecting it, and happy for it to go ahead, then he would have just turned up in a normal way!

familyissues12345 · 27/03/2026 09:41

But then I work in an industry with a lot of DV sadly, so my “something smells fishy” bar is pretty low Grin
