Ma Driscoll is horrendous.

Kit is still fit.

Ronnie and Kevin's new double act is quite entertaining!

Debbie is still in prison.

Hope is still as cheeky as ever.

John Stape and Uncle Steven were my favourite serial killers. I hope Theo doesn't become a serial killer but can murder Carl on his way to prison. Or Carl can murder Theo.

Maybe I missed something, but George's suspicions about Theo seemed to turn up very suddenly this week. I don't remember him having any concerns before.

Christine had her suspicions though.

I did like the awful registrar. Surely a marriage would be void if one person arrived blindfolded and didn't know it was happening? The awful registrar didn't seem nonplussed.

I presume they both previously gave notice that they wanted to get married though? You have to do so a month or so prior to the wedding to be able to get married. So that would probably get Theo around that?

and where’s Abi gone? Haven’t seen her in ages. At least we weren’t bored to tears with the dreadful Aliya/Adam storyline. Agree Theo actor plays a good part. Poor Todd is gonna starve again! We need to come up with what TNT could stand for 😁

I wondered that! I guess he wouldn’t be able to get married if he hadn’t. They’d have wanted to see his divorce papers at the registry office.

I guess the wedding on the 23rd is Carla and Plod? They were muttering about “why not get married?” tonight, and these things happen rather quickly in Weatherfield! Another second attempt gay marriage in as many weeks!

The 23 April is Carla & Lisa’s wedding, they’ve been planning it for a while. It’s also the date of “the murder” that we saw in the flash-forward. Whoever that might be.

Sorry, yes, the 23rd April is Carla and Lisa’s wedding day. Also the day of the fast forwards episode ( when that was shown ) and Betsy was being interviewed by the police as a witness to something that has gone on.

23rd April is St George's Day. St George slayed a dragon. I wonder if one of the evil "dragons" (Theo or Carl?) will be slain that night? If it's Theo, will the lovely George be involved?

I thought the scene where Carla came in and started shouting at Betsy about not looking after the baby properly was really OTT. The baby was asleep in her cot next to where Betsy was sitting so what’s wrong with that? You’d think she’d caught them having sex on the floor with the baby in the garden somewhere. Carla was almost shouting at her before she’d even entered the room properly.

I know it’s an important storyline and sadly 1000’s of people are in abusive relationships, but Todd is just getting on my nerves now.

Todd is one of my favourite characters but I am just fed up with him now.
I had hoped he would do a Shelley and walk out of the wedding.
At least it exposed Theo’s controlling behaviour. George, Christina, Summer all knew something was very wrong. But it has gone on far too long and been so poorly storylined.

Yes, the Carla-Betsy scene was silly, so improbable.

All poor Dylan had to do was show her the baby sick on his jumper

and Betsy was right, Clodhopper Carla woke the baby

Unfortunately when soaps do abusive relationships now, they do go on for too long and us viewers lose interest. I know the producer says they want to take their time and everything with it because it’s complex and the relationship isn’t over and done in 5 minutes but it doesn’t make us feel sorry anymore for the characters

Regarding Bernie and Mal, that proposition was just like when Phelan did that to Anna, the “one night with me and everything is forgotten”

Yes, Carla didn’t even listen to Betsy and poor Dylan didn’t even get a word in edgeways. Even if he didn’t have baby sick on his fleece, he could have just fancied taking it off because it was warm in the house

Speaking of Phelan, there's another thing that went on far too long. He even managed to swim the Irish sea and resurface.

The Carla scene was bizarre. I'm not sure what it was supposed to show, other than she is a bit unhinged.
