The last thread filled up quickly! (2 weeks!) Shows Coronation Street is gaining popularity again. (It has improved quite a bit lately!)

R.I.P. Billy Mayhew.

Todd continues to be manipulated by Theo, Summer has done some stellar sobbing (that's brought me to tears!) and it seems there's no-one to help poor Todd.

Not much has been seen of The Driscolls for a while. after the tragedy around Corriedale, and Billy the vicar dying. (I'm sure they're about somewhere!)

Lisa (Swain) is being manipulated by Undead Becky now, (from prison) and she's threatening to 'take her down with her' if she doesn't have her back! Not sure Carla wants Lisa back anyway after Lisa slept with Becky!

Poor Debbie is all over the place, trying desperately to defend evil Carl who has stolen from her, cheated on Abi, and caused all kinds of destruction with a car, (twice - and both times he's got away with it!)

Shona and David's new baby is in hospital for a while after being born prematurely, and Shona's sister has appeared suddenly! I guess we'll learn more about her, and why she and Shona have not seen each other for some years.

Sorry if I've left anything out. I'm sure we'll all catch up soon.

I’m still working out who is who and catching up online for past stories.! I am hooked though and remember some old characters like Ken . The Ken , Deirdre affair was tv gold back in the day! They don’t make it like that anymore ..

Does David know Shona has a sister? I got the feeling from the scene in the hospital he didn’t.
Although Jodie came into it looking like possible trouble, I have a niggling feeling it is Shona who has something to hide. I don’t know why.

Checking in . Ridiculous that Lisa would bother going to see the insufferable Becky - still don’t understand the whole plot of what she did and don’t care to . Hope that Carla does not forgive Lisa .
Debbie has to be Carl’s mum as she is letting him off everything and covering for him more than a sister ever would .
Theo - words fail me . Evil - blaming Todd , sat there praising Billy ! There can be no proof of what he did but I bet he will get angry one day and taunt Todd with it .

Exactly said all Along Deb is Carl’s mum. Deffo think Shona has something to hide and that once David finds out it will affect their relationship. Lisa deserves all that’s coming to her can’t believe she went to see Becky! Hopefully she’ll get put away never to be heard of again! Also think the funeral ain’t gonna go smoothly maybe that will also put an end to Theo! Corrie needs to tie up all the loose ends for 2026!

thanks for the new thread. I still have no idea why undead Becky came back or Costello. I actually don’t care. I just want the story to finish. I have read a spoiler about Theo and Todd so I don’t think there can be much more to run if it’s out as a spoiler.

Why on earth did Lisa go to see Umdead Becky !
And why was Becky wanging on about what the jury would say, mortgage paid off illegally, Lisa knew blah blah?

@SabreIsMyFave thank you for the new thread! Yes Roy was banged up for Lauren’s ‘murder’ despite her actually being alive. I agree with PP, I’d like to see Swain banged up just for what she did to Roy.

I don’t know what the problem is with Jodie but I think she’s desperate/homeless so needs Shona, but Shona sent her on her way. There was some talk of her being involved in a modern slavery thing in Emmerdale (I don’t watch it so no idea) but there was a reason she was involved in the crash, and it has to be from the Emmerdale side. She really is so much like Shona, great casting.

I think Todd hates Theo now.

Becky is certainly not looking like a credible witness and has no actual evidence.

Lisa deserves to be booted out the police force for not reporting Becky's return but not sure she has committed any crimes

I agree Todd loathes Theo now. Hopefully Theo will soon be a thing of the past.

Not sure if Lisa has ever solved any crimes and there are several committed every week on the street that she lives

That baffled me too. Why on EARTH did Lisa go and see Undead Becky? And what on earth was she going on about, paying off the mortgage in a dodgy manner or something? As people have said, this storyline needs wrapping up and putting to bed!

Like many posters here, I am getting suspicious that Carl may be Debbie's son. I have not read it anywhere (or heard it,) but events are pointing towards that being true.

Yeah, I think Sally's sister was a wrong 'un IIRC. As has been said, it looks like Shona may have done something, (in the past,) as she looked worried when she saw her sister.

@SabreIsMyFave when they paid the mortgage off with the money Becky stole, Swain didn't ask where the money came from, so Becky is implying she turned a blind eye but knew it was illicit. But as Swain doesn't have a functioning brain it probably never occurred to her, and anyway it's all just hot air from Becky.

If the characters are similar ages to the actors who play them, Jodie is about 10 years younger than Shona. So Shona would have left home when Jodie was still a young kid. I think they lived on the Dog and Gun estate along with the lovely Gemma.
