The last thread filled up quickly! (2 weeks!) Shows Coronation Street is gaining popularity again. (It has improved quite a bit lately!)

R.I.P. Billy Mayhew.

Todd continues to be manipulated by Theo, Summer has done some stellar sobbing (that's brought me to tears!) and it seems there's no-one to help poor Todd.

Not much has been seen of The Driscolls for a while. after the tragedy around Corriedale, and Billy the vicar dying. (I'm sure they're about somewhere!)

Lisa (Swain) is being manipulated by Undead Becky now, (from prison) and she's threatening to 'take her down with her' if she doesn't have her back! Not sure Carla wants Lisa back anyway after Lisa slept with Becky!

Poor Debbie is all over the place, trying desperately to defend evil Carl who has stolen from her, cheated on Abi, and caused all kinds of destruction with a car, (twice - and both times he's got away with it!)

Shona and David's new baby is in hospital for a while after being born prematurely, and Shona's sister has appeared suddenly! I guess we'll learn more about her, and why she and Shona have not seen each other for some years.

Sorry if I've left anything out. I'm sure we'll all catch up soon.

Re Summer's mother being on the street, Toyah would work, looks wise. Maybe it's just the hair.

It certainly seems like Todd is no longer under Theo's spell, he's biding his time to get out safely. Or dramatically, because Corrie.

I was surprised at Undead Becky talking about the mortgage being paid off with ill-gotten gains, no questions asked by Supercop Swain. Were we meant to know about that?

Agree about Todd too, as you @LesserSpottedCharacter and several others have said, I thuink he is becoming wise to Theo, and is just biding his time!

The scales have fallen from Todd’s eyes for sure. Question is… will he twig what Theo did to Billy?

I am hoping Todd will get back to his evil side and gaslight Theo. Daisy's mum could certainly back him up in a scheme. I don't want Theo in prison as I don't want more prison stuff but as previously mentioned Sean Bean would be a welcome person to sort Theo out.
Do we know Mr Harper is a new character...if he is I hope he's nice. I used to work with someone whose dad was a transplant surgeon and was very nice.

I like Mr Harper too. He is quite easy on the eyes too! 😁

Is it me, or are hospital consultants nearly always tall?! 😆 (On TV and in real life......!) Quite often good looking too!

I was surprised that Carla and Charity from Emmerdale were of similar height. I think I thought Carla would be the taller of the two. Why I have no idea.

I'm half watching Emmerdale now after the mash-up. Is what's his name with the farm programmes not in it anymore? I think he was a Sugden, was he not?

He left a long time ago. I stopped watching Emmerdale four years ago and even then he was a distant memory.

Ha, yes that's him @Shellingbynight , thank you. Kelvin Fletcher. He was on Strictly too. He was maybe just a boy when I last watched Emmerdale. There are a lot of new faces now. I think Chas's looks a bit different.

I wouldn't put it past Theo to sabotage Billy's funeral, for Todd anyway. He'll hate the attention not being on him.

@LesserSpottedCharacter I've sometimes mistaken Summer for Toyah, so I think she could be her mystery mum.

How did Becky pay off the mortgage with dodgy money? Don't you have to prove the source because of money laundering stuff?

Yes I think Theo will sabotage the funeral, and try to make it look like it was Todd's fault.

@CherryogDog I think if you can fake your own death you can probably deal with money laundering regulations. Although neither of these things is credible since Becky seemed unhinged and incompetent!

How long ago was Toyahs baby Rose? (The one she was meant to have buried under a rose bush?) Perhaps it could be one of those implausibly rewritten story lines where she had a secret twin baby or something? Or the baby wasn’t really dead and someone just so happened to bury another baby there. Not sure if the timelines fit, but Corrie don’t always worry about that!

Toyah has already had a secret mystery baby. She can't have another one. That's stretching things might too far.

Did someone say Mr Harper is good looking? No, he has such a small pinched mouth.

It was nice to see what looked like a genuine smile from Kevin when he was doing his wee dance with Jack, who didn't look like he was enjoying it at all.
