A if Kat wouldn’t have barged into the bedroom at the first instance, let alone not even attempting to find out who so obviously just legged it out of the window!

As if Kat would be ok with Alfie staying there for another night!

As if none of them could hear Stacey and Zo faux whispering in the bedroom!

If Stacey were my daughter , I’d want her out of the mouse / rat infested flat or whatever excuse they made for a door shutting.
Id be asking her for details of how she can afford it too!

Does Ross know who Kat is?

If Zoe is Joel's mum, Kat is his glamorous granny 🤣 and Tommy is his uncle 🤯

I did predict that E would spend all the money didn’t I without any intervention from Facebook ! Lol

She treats L like a modern day slave too ;(

I bet that Ross knows Zoe is back in the Uk and behind all the Joel / Australia abuse story.
I don’t trust him and Zoe has hinted she has done something unforgivable..

I'm confused is the Spanish mafia after Zoe? I thought she made it up and was sending the threats to herself?

Gosh this isn't the introduction I'd want if I was the new producer. It was wasted introducing Zoe in this way. It was all abit chuckle brother-esque. Stacey and Kat are very strong actors, they've been wronged in this storyline.

Zoe will be Joel's mum, this is the terrible thing she feels Kat will hate her for. Thing is the Slaters aren't squeaky clean, there's not alot that would shock them. They all leave their kids, with neighbours and in cupboards. I doubt they'll hold it against her.

If I had a dysfunctional family like ‘the slaters ‘I’d tell them my big old secret as they are pretty unshakable.
Unless it’s really grim like child abuse or something like that , but just being Joel’s mum isn’t too big a deal if she doesn’t know about the sexual assaults and all that.
( it would be in real life , but not with this crew )

I REALLY hope Zoe isn't Joel's mum. I don't see why that would be such a big secret. It's not like she was a child.The Slaters aren't that bothered about teen pregnancy anyway. Even.if she abandoned him with his Dad that's hardly unknown in EE.

Zoe actress is 41 in real life, so must be similar age as her character. So 24/25 when she had Joel? Unless she is playing someone younger , but can’t be much in it.
Maybe she doesn’t want to tell Kat she abandoned him and so on? I feel there’s more to it , most of it is pretty boring anyway !

It’s all pointing to Zoe being Joel’s mum, isn’t it. So by “running off when he was little”, as Joel put it, no doubt we’ll discover that she laid the foundations for his misogyny which he is trying to inculcate into Tommy.

She won't have killed anyone, that's similar to the Den storyline, and I don't think Kat cared then. The Slaters wouldn't care about a murder. Wasn't Mo involved in the dodgy abortions with aunt Babe?
The Slaters are all about family but can soon turn on each other, I don't think they'd even batter an eyelid at running away from a child. They've all done it. Jean left Stacey, and Stacey has left her kids. Kat is no better, and Alfie left her and the boys, wasn't that in Spain? Kat came back alone. They won't care that Zoe left Joel with his dad. Perhaps Zoe feels it's terrible (because it is) because she felt neglected by Kat, and now she has actually neglected her child. Either way she's not done anything no other Slater has ever done.

I wouldn’t want to tell my mum I’d abandoned my child tbh. I’m sure they would support her, but not before a big old shouting match!

It's the Slaters, they'll forgive her. She'll say she had some kind of post natal depression. Maybe Ross wasn't kind to her, he doesn't seem nice. There will be an excuse, like there is with all the Slaters

Ross isn’t nice, but it’s so weird that nobody looks anyone up on social media or gets wind of the fact that Ross and Zoe and Vicki are from the same areas and have all these links already and just the whole thing really. Vicki was with Spencer for ages too.
At least with Rose / Cindy she had to disappear because of witness protection and so on and that was all very far fetched.

if Zoe is Joel's mum, then she left when he was young. Ross then moved to Australia, then he met Spencer and Vicky. So none of them would have known Zoe Slater was his ex. He may not even have known her real name, she could have told him anything. He also may not have told Joel her real name. It's soapland, anything is possible. To be honest I find this storyline more believable than Elaine giving Priya 5k!

I agree that giving skint Priya money for a holiday when her own daughter could do with one herself is beyond ridiculous! Could you imagine the ‘ aibu ‘ thread about that one.! Lol

Maybe Joel’s redemption arc is that he’s reunited with Zoe, and after a rough patch and lots of turmoil, eventually his emotional wounds are healed, he is welcomed into the bosom of the Slater clan and they all live happily ever after. If he asks Elaine for £5k he might be able to fund some therapy!

I wasn’t really paying attention because it was boring. How did Kat know where Alfie was?

I’d like Joel to stay on, but it’s sad his a good actor with such an awful storyline

I feel sorry for Linda, her mum brought into the Vic to help her, and now they are going to lose everything. All because Elaine listened to her ex's bit on the side, and chose to leave with Mr polyester

I hope they used protection , she doesn’t want an STD on top of losing her pub and 5k to someone she barely knows.

I’ve just been Googling how old Zoe is, according to the E20 Wiki she was born in February 1984 so yeah, she’d be 41 if that’s accurate.

I remember her being a teenager when the Slaters appeared on the Square, in 2000, but don’t feel that she was a young teen.

I think it is going to be that she is Joel’s mum and she abandoned him as a baby - purely because of things I’ve read online , but it doesn’t make sense ?!

I get she might think that Kat might be angry , because she was forced to give a baby up , but why now ? She’s all upset over it and coming to Stacey now when he is 16 ? He said his Mum left when he was a baby so it’s not recent ?! Like 10+ years later she’s all upset about it and decided to come to Stacey - for what? If she wasn’t going to tell anyone else she was around? It makes no sense . Unless she has heard he is in walford so she’s afraid it will come out?

It’s ridiculous that Kat left and believed what was said - when Stacey and Alfie literally shouted “ Kat no!” when she went towards the bedroom !

Have to say though , the most ridiculous part was Elaine pressing 3 buttons to pay for a cruise 🤣
