Did Martin have life insurance? Why would it go to Stacey?
Richard Arnold just said Zoe is on screen this week but then she's not back until summer.
I do feel it's being set up for Zoe to be Joel's mum. Weirdly that story is more believeable than the Stacey renting story.

@storminabuttercup I wonder if they are ‘misdirecting’ with Joel/Zoe the same way they tried to with Hayley/Zoe. From what Joel said, they lived in England. Back then Zoe was supposed to be in Spain, she only moved to London a few years ago. Of course they could rewrite her history as it was always vague.

The Joel storyline is horrible but they have chosen a great actor. And I liked that they gave him some backstory about why he feels so isolated.

Completely bizarre that Stacey can afford to rent somewhere - mind you, she looks completely recovered now, she’s really moved on in the past fortnight off screen 😆

Martin doesn’t seem a life insurance kind of guy.

Presumably if he has life insurance it would go to bex as his oldest ?

Zoe could have been back and forth between London and Spain with her estate agency.
Is Joel 15? Born 2010? Same as Tommy. It is possible that Zoe did a few years in Spain and then came back to London, met Ross etc and then went back to Spain. We also don't know if she stayed in Spain from 2005 to 2025.
There's so many possibilities because we don't know her story.

The Joel story feels like they are setting him up to stay. Usually they would run a story like this and the actor would leave, abit like Reiss, however with Joel they are starting to back track and give him some kind of redemption through being neglected by his parents.

I believe you can nominate whoever you like to receive your life insurance, presumably Martin would have left Stacey as trustee for the kids. But it was never mentioned that he had any.

I think Joel is 15. I was wondering the same thing about whether he could be redeemable, he is such a good actor it would be a shame to waste him on a 6 month storyline. It depends how far they take his behaviour I suppose. It'll either be life on the Square or a youth rehab centre!

Still to come is the story of Joel sharing the recording of him having sex with Avani.

That will be explosive! Ravi will tear Joel limb from limb. Look at the Barney episode where he was hung off the bridge. Joel's arse will be flapping 🥳

Joel is a good actor. Very believable.
Why bring Zoe back for one week only though, but she is coming back again ?

Wasn't Joel's dad getting blackmailed for his antics? Just seen that Zoe is in trouble with money and stealing and am wondering if she is the mother of Joel if she is now getting blackmailed?

I don’t know where Vicki got the £2K from to bribe Isla, she doesn’t work does she? I know it’s a soap but it’s ludicrous that characters can call on the magic money tree whenever they need to.

Maybe Vicki will ask Phil for a loan ! He is the one they usually tap. lol
Phil was so nice to Linda today. Elaine being vulnerable was sad. She’s had enough I think and now it’ll be all fake smiles and letting the pub run into the ground.
I hope that Tommy keeps that photo footage of Joel

Phil is definitely fond of both Linda and Kat. He is a good person to have onside - not just the money, he's a good guy now! It must surely be Phil who buys the Vic.

Vicki hasn't got a job has she, and Ross said his last job was cancelled so he got no money for the day, yet they have £2k lying around??

”Zo” definitely has the Slater look. She and Lily could be twins!

Next week Elaine ends up giving alcohol to some of the younger kids by mistake or something and it all goes wrong and she may lose the licence.

Goodness the actress who plays Zoe is poor.

Zoe has only been back about ten minutes and I am already sick of the sight of her. Screeching, lying, stealing, gargling wine. It's a no from me. I get the feeling she is filling the gap Stacey will vacate in terms of mardy strops. I am not sure how good an actress Michelle Ryan is though, I never really rated her last time round.

How long has Staey been gone, about a fortnight? Yet has already got fed up with Lynne and rented a flat with money from the magic money tree.

Where is Vicki intending to get £2k. Joel was brilliant again though, so manipulative.

I liked Phil's scenes again. He has smiled more in the last couple of months than in the past 20 years!

Apparently Nicola likes a June Christmas ( no idea why) so they are back next week with a stressed out Barney and putting the decs up I suppose ! Lol
