Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Thanks for the new thread South, I hadn't realised the old thread was nearly full.

Episodes do seem a bit like trudging through treacle at the moment.

I wonder how long they are going to keep on with Nigel's storyline. I like the relationship between him and Phil but realistically there is a limit to what Phil will be prepared to do so I can't really see where this is going.

Thanks for the new thread @Southeastdweller!

the80sweregreat · 08/05/2025 18:58

Thanks for the new thread South!..
.. Hope we can continue to post the spoilers we all stumble across !
I agree it’s a bit lack lustre at the moment. I like Nigel , but it needs some new storylines.
I can see a George / Cindy hook up , not seen anything about this and only guessing , but he isn’t keen on knocking her down like the others do and they have history etc!

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 08/05/2025 19:59

Well that was the worse week of Eastenders in a while!

Kreepture · 08/05/2025 20:01

its been dire recently.

I'm sick of Cindy

I'm fed up of abusive men storylines

I'm baffled why everyone is suddenly listening to Mo's opinion about anything.

It's all doom & gloom and dead people.

TotemPolly · 08/05/2025 20:02

Totally ridiculous that the Vic is the same , even off white net curtains upstairs !

Kreepture · 08/05/2025 20:03

it is isn't it. i can't believe they didn't take the opportunity to update it like they did after the fire that killed Eddy.

the80sweregreat · 08/05/2025 20:06

At least someone called out Mo and her doom and gloom ! She is a drain.

Shellingbynight · 08/05/2025 20:06

I thought the best bits of today's episode were the opening and end titles!

But it wasn't as bad as yesterdays. Which isn't saying much.

I thought they went quite wonky with Nigel's dementia today. No way would he think Jean was Debbie. He thinks of Debbie as the age when she died so he would pick someone around that age, not a 65 year old. And why did he say 'there's life in the old dog yet'. If he thought he was back in 1995 he would not be old.

the80sweregreat · 08/05/2025 20:07

Some nice blinds would have been good.
seems a lot of the photos / pics survived the fire too !
.. 🤔

Giantjoelguesser · 08/05/2025 20:28

They blew up the old set vic, so they never had to rebuild it. It could have been done so much better but they've literally made it as obvious as possible.

Meredusoleil · 08/05/2025 20:33

I'm thinking Tommy looked quite horrified when Joel showed him the video on his phone, so maybe he will do something about it?!? As in, be on Avani's side and drop Joel in it.

lazymum99 · 08/05/2025 20:33

I’ve been so bored with ee this week that I’m a millimetre away from stopping watching. It’s only these threads keeping me going.
The funniest bit was when someone or another called upstairs to Stacey. Is she going to be in her bedroom for the whole of her maternity leave 😂

drwitch · 08/05/2025 20:59

Loved the knowing discussion about the wallpaper

Shellingbynight · 08/05/2025 21:54

Yes the discussion about the wallpaper was funny. I don't know why they didn't take the chance to revamp the Vic slightly, that is usually what happens when they burn things down in soaps.

I agree re Stacey, she's just in her bedroom till Christmas then - oh wait, no they're all going on a campervan holiday with Harvey 🙄

Alucard55 · 08/05/2025 21:55

What a boring Mish mash episode.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/05/2025 22:24

New Thread - thank you @Southeastdweller

Just ploughed through this weeks episodes....how ridiculous that they can all rally together a VE Day event in ten minutes . Planning anything like this takes weeks
Harry still over acting with a face like a slapped arse
Gina still going all goo-goo eyed over him, She is smarter than that

I don't fancy Joel 90s chances of reaching his next birthday if Ravi finds out he's been filming and showing off videos of his daughter

I've just said the same to DH about giving up on it. I don't think I've ever wanted to give up and I've been watching for 35 years, but it is just rubbish right now. Tonight's episode was boring, predictable, and entirely uncreative.

EconomyClassRockstar · 08/05/2025 23:59

I can’t get my head around that the Vic “revamp” is even darker and more 1986 than ever before!

Butterpaneer · 09/05/2025 00:15

Oof, tonight's episode was a mess wasn't it? I get what they were trying to do but it was so clunky.

I actually think the Avani (I can't remember the boys name) story has potential. The other stories are boring; I don't care about Kathy and Harvey, I don't care about Nicola, I don't care about Cindy. Nigel is fine.

Classicalgas · 09/05/2025 00:22

It has been a bit meh lately, the shireen stuff has been ridiculous but the joel / avani storyline could be ‘good in terms of public information.
Kathy and Harvey is vaguely interesting but it’s all been done before and will be boring to see jean go off the bus again if that’s how they play it out.
i actually cried at todays VE episode, more for the old footage than the actual EE storyline though

DBD1975 · 09/05/2025 00:42

Glad it is not just me, didn't think the Vic looked any different!
I am glad Cindy is back, her hair/wig has a life of it's own.
I can't bear the lack of continuity in the story lines and tonight's episode was bordering on the bizarre.
Also Martin's demise is just going on and on, tonight the tankard, the photo, the references all a bit OTT in my opinion.

EconomyClassRockstar · 09/05/2025 00:54

I think the still thinking about Martin was the most realistic part of the whole episode. He only died in the Vic a few weeks ago! But, yes. The rest of the episode was just messy. I think Nigel's dementia is a bit all over the place. IT's like they want to explore it properly but can't because they need the weird side plot lines.

the80sweregreat · 09/05/2025 06:36

Hopefully Ravi will sort out Joel and may go and live with his mum.
They always throw parties at a moments notice and nobody is ever at work and can’t go along.

the80sweregreat · 09/05/2025 06:37

I meant Joel will live with his mum ! .. badly written
